Black not Green Zebralight

I just received SC700Fd and look and finish is great but it is black and not the wonderful army green I am used to. The package seemed heavy and, voila, I got a 21700 cell with it that I did not expect.

Seems to be a keeper, as my ZL experience has always been, but color (and included cell) surprised me.

I switched the cell out already to charge it. Samsung 50E.

My Zebralights were all grey, going back a few years though. When did they change to green?

I think at least the last 5 years or so. This is my 4th and until now all were green. Deep red headlamp, the AA 519a, McBob modded 18650 219b sw45k.

Ah, ok. My last Zeb was the SC600 Plus Hi. Sure it was grey ano. Dunno why they don’t stick with that, it’s a clean look.

I like black, but I like chalky black that’s rough to the touch. The first ArmyTeks had the best ano I’ve ever seen, though I reckon Hank (Emisar/Noctigon) does a decent one on the KR1AA.
