I bought the BLF A6 not long ago and love it, it’s my new EDC, so much so, I’ve ordered another in a cooler tint. I also ordered the 18350 extension tube and a Keeppower 18350 900mAh battery, which I received today. I cannot get it to work at all with this battery, and yes it’s fully charged using my nitecore charger. It works fine with the standard tube and an NCR18650A battery. I don’t think the battery is dead as the charger would tell me, but I have nothing else to test it with. Am I missing something? I can feel spring tension as soon as I screw it together, so length isn’t the issue. It’s not that it’s a protected battery is it?

You can fix it with a conductive shim under the retaining ring.
Driver end or tail end, or does it not matter? I’m a little hacked off with BG as now I see (after ordering two) you can get an Astrolux S1 which is essentially the same as the BLF A6 , but that one comes with an 18350 extension tube included for the same price as an A6. And maybe that tube actually fits.
The shim goes under the ring that’s not being contacted by the tube. Keep in mind though that with the shim in place the 18650 tube will still work but there will be a gap where there wasn’t one before. Compare the short tube to the standard tube to see how thick the shim needs to be.
