Every light with an LED and a reflector has this “gap”. It’s normal. The more focussed the light is (how big the reflector is compared to the LED die), the farther the distance until this “gap” disappears. The BLF GT is the most foccused led reflector light ever produced until now. People are not used to this effect.
Check out this light. It has a very similar sized reflector but an even smaller LED. The “gap” is even more pronounced.
