BLF Kronos X6/X5 GB - Group Buy now closed.

the copper x5 alone is the reason i am joining the group buy

Efest Purple IMR14500 cells can hit 11.5A.

That’s what my little copper pocket rocket is doing now, making 3170 lumens.

In normal or even tweaked use, the switch will be fine. We never had any issue with these switches until running continuos 6A+ current draw in the bigger lights. New style of emitters with this smaller cell, simply not an issue. Mine was doing 5.15A at the emitter before I made it into a quad. So a spring bypass can help get that much current, but isn’t necessary for switch protection until going multi-emitter.

The X6 in this group buy is a revised version of the light with a screw in reflector, a step up in my opinion and a worthy light to own. (I have some 13 X6’s at the moment, in various trim and output levels)

I found mention of ā€œ2 screws not just 1ā€ to hold the emitter in (not sure if that was a wishlist or a spec)
but was there previous mention of the reflector being threaded? Is that for both sizes and both SS and Al?

Thanks Dale. Good to know the switch has been vetted to this degree.

I'd also be interested in a solo X5 Copper if ever available individually.

I'd buy either copper or aluminum in this size, in sets (copper, aluminum, or mixed) of 2, 3, or 4 if that's what it took to get the unit price down.

Ditto
I crave the copper.

did someone notice the colour difference in the rotating copper pic the head of the lamp is more yellowish and the body more pinkish

LOL it is, good eye.

The tubing comes from a tubing manufacturer with one manufacturing process that produces certain results.

The head comes from a completely different manufacturer/processes that go into producing solid blocks of copper.

To produce a light that is consistent in color, the tubing would have to be crafted from a solid block of copper. This would increase the cost to the point would make the lights unobtainable (true unobtanium :stuck_out_tongue: )

A slight color variance is unavoidable.

I noticed the color difference when the light was new and the coatings were on it, but after some wear and tear and every day use (I’ve had the light on my person and in use since the day it arrived) I really don’t see it anymore, primarily because the way your handling of the light affects it the coloration changes from point to point and day by day. So it really becomes a moot point about color continuity.

I’ve seen the threads about GearBest and delivery issues, customer service, but frankly, in my own dealings with GearBest everything has been straight forward and as easy/quick/reliable as any other store. Y’all know the store has zip control on delivery times, right? Just like when you send a package it’s out of your hands when it hits the carrier, same for them. They AREN’T the carrier, same as you.

Holiday shipping is notoriously a monster, but we’ve got Gear Best Lucky Sun D80’s hitting peoples hands inside of a week, how can we complain about that? So, Daniel, I really feel that you highlighting a persons personal issues in all these threads you post in is pretty much out of line. Post what you will, of course, but it does you no favors to do so and makes you look bad.

That's Daniel's sig line - guess it's what his current thread interests are.

1 set SS/Cu Set - Box
NW (XP-L Hi if available)

Dale, I’ve noticed that the color and/or amount of dirt under your fingernails appears different between your index and middle fingers.
I also notice a distinct jaggedness in your middle fingernail.
Please explain yourself.
:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Hahaha…I just snorted when I read that Jdub :8)

i don’t think anyone wants to split up a set, but i’m asking anyway. i only want the copper, not the SS light or the box.

I aim to please…or at least get a few chuckles.
Cheers brother.

Well if you order a set, I would be willing to buy the SS light and the box from you for a reasonable price.

1x AL CW please

Well it’s really simple, I use the index finger to clear flux off drivers and tail switch pcbs, the middle finger scrapes corrosion and oxidation off retaining rings, so each has it’s own patina inherent to the nature of the job each is assigned. Upon completion of the testing and build, all fingers are treated as equals and the fast orange is liberally applied with an old toothbrush without prejudice or alienation.
