So far, I must say… the K6 Al is so small and light it almost seems like a toy. Like those fake plastic cell phones compared to a real one. Until I turn it on, that is. This thing can do 1500 lumens with the right cell and spring bypasses.
I'm a little confused - is the copper K6 a different look from the alum K6? Is the copper K6 pictured in the OP still the same or will the copper one look like the alum one pictured by JM above? The copper K6 in the OP looks more like a true mini version of the X6, with the wider knurling at the head. This thread is wayyy too big - I'm sure I missed something...
Ohh - they got me ... So guess a copper one is unseen, no pics. I'm ok with any which way it comes out - I know lot of effort/time involved on this GB effort.
I thought I’d share a little photo comparison of some BLF Special Edition lights.
Left to right is the new K6, the A6, the SS X6, Cu X6 Proto-type, Original X6 BLF Special Edition Sample Light (the 60mph one), Rey’s BLF X6 Ti II, and the Lucky Sun D80

As I understand it, the Cu variation is an idea that was entertained if/when this group buys goes over. The material being more expensive and more difficult to work with, it would have to be done in a limited edition and the interest this SS/Cu X6/K6 group buy generates will be an indicator of whether or not they could pull this off.
I personally think it’s exceptional and would like to see it done, but if the initial pair doesn’t go over there’s not much of a chance of it happening. I pushed strongly for this, ideally for triples and quads, so I’m really hoping the 200 pcs required is met and we get a thumbs up on this one after that. Keeping my fingers crossed….
I’ve got A6 drivers in all 3 of the new samples and have to say, they’re exceptional lights running this high powered driver. Even the smaller K6 is just head and shoulders above anything in it’s class, coming out as an equal or on top of virtually all other single cell/single emitter flashlights of ANY size. With some fine tuning in the build department, these are going to be epic lights to be sure.
Please keep in mind that the K6 will be full copper in the set with the SS X6, truly a splendid little light fully capable of handling it’s hot rod status!
