bugsy. Simple over sight. You might be correct but it was overlooked as this was discussed earlier in the thread and agreed upon looks wise and function wise. Copper sheds heat better and these guys like to supe things up and get em hot! And as said before the ss was more on mind as a tough long lasting “tool box” light. If I didn’t share an account with my wife looking over my shoulder I’d be ordering a few sets!

We discussed these having the FET+1 driver and realized that a SS host would not be able to handle the heat from a top cell. So the copper lower portion, the finned pill section, was born out of necessity. (And because I highly recommended it, having multiple hot rods that survive on this principle)

And because it looks cool.

And once it was suggested, quite a few people liked the idea, and so it was written and hence it was done…

I grew up around biologists who’d had a profound and lasting interest in identifying the presence of heavy metals. Especially the new heavy metals and novel isotopes appearing: they told the neighborhood kids when not to eat the newly fallen snow. They taught lead precautions too. So my levels stayed low, mostly. Sorry we didn’t get to tell everyone soon enough.

Well, project time estimates were optimistic when Manker seemed to be getting fast results on the A6… but those estimates took a turn for the worse after seeing the A6 QC issues. The plan is to prioritize “getting it right” over “doing it fast”.

As far as I’m aware, that’s the plan. One of the project requirements is to make the threads match the original X6.
