Hi all. I just purchased a black BLF LT1 from the Sofirn Amazon store (Amazon.com). There were some unexpected things about the BLF LT1 I received, and I just wanted to check if it was normal or not.
The BLF LT1 I received had the amber switch light instead of the green one I’ve seen on new models. Also it doesn’t seem to have the powerbank feature that newer models have (can’t charge other devices with it). I also noticed that there were no markings at all in the PCB next to the battery contacts. I’ve seen newer ones marked as “BLF-LT1-A2 Sofirn”, but the one I got didn’t have any markings at all.
The green switch was used for some time in the middle. At least this year’s models have the orange switch again.
That should work. Maybe the devices weren’t detected correctly.
Correct, there aren’t any markings on this driver revision.
That are older models. There are at least five or so revisions of this driver.
This is the latest version. If you remove the black plastic protector (forcing you to use button-top batteries for safety, to reduce the risk of damaging the wrapper), you’ll find the programming pads underneath.
@SammysHP Thank you so much for your response! You are absolutely right, after I saw your message I tried a different USB-C cable and device, and the powerbank feature worked. I should have tried that earlier. Thank you for confirming it is the latest model.
