Blf lt1 lantern memory feature

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place but I have a question about my older blf lantern. So when I turn it off and back on it doesn’t remember the last brightness setting and I wondered if there is some kind of work around or mod ? My blf mini lantern has this feature and I’d really like it if my normal lantern could also do it

Thanks in advance

You’re in manual memory mode. Turn it on, click five times and hold the last click (5H) to disable manual memory and return the automatic memory.

Thanks so much . How do you activate it again or perhaps you have a link for a detailed instructions as I only have a small cheat sheet

5 clicks from on.

Here’s the official manual for Anduril 1.

It has been so long since I used Anduril 1 that I forgot it was 5 clicks for manual mem instead of 10.

If it’s of interest, the old LT1 can also be updated to run Anduril 2. It requires a bit of extra hardware to flash firmware, but the process is otherwise reasonably simple. Then it could match the mini lantern, or other lights.

Usually I set up mine with hybrid memory. It remembers the last-used level during use, but when it’s off for long enough, it resets to the user’s saved default. That way, it remembers for about as long as I do. The memory timeout can be anything from 1 minute to to 4 hours.

Thanks for the reply I’d be interested in updating it definitely.is there instructions? Thanks alot

Here’s a very good explanation of the process:

For that LT1, since it’s the attiny85 driver, it should be flashable with a SOIC8 clip. Or if you can find a pogo pin adapter which fits, that would be even easier… but I don’t know if anyone sells that style any more. In either case, it needs some sort of usbasp device and the relevant software to use it.

More details are in the guide.
