BLF North America meet

An idea, Spring 2013 somewhere in central United States, a weekend where me meet, have a feast, show off our lights, interesting things to do at night (landmarks, geocaching?)

Who would be interested?

What timeframe?

Anyone willing to take on booking a location, discount hotel nearby is good, and dark areas where shining lots of flashlights won’t cause unwanted attention.

Admission cost to cover food or venue renting (or go to a restaurant or fast food)?

Sounds fun. But I won’t be traveling to central US on my budget. Maybe next year though.

Great idea Bort.

I’m in Ohio, I’d be down.

You sir, are in luck

This sounds really fun but all must consider the possibility of Foy being much more palatable in electronic form, than his actual form.

We are not going to eat you foy HeHe. When/where would this be? Sounds good. I can travel a few hundred miles. Any specifics yet? lets keep this idea going.

I’d consider a meet as well. Maybe we can bring our favorite light to the local gentleman’s club and take up the front row :open_mouth:

Thats what im talking about!!!

Too far for me, but I hope y'all get together. I just don't go out any more, except to work and the groceries.

My life is now "virtual".Frown

For absolutely no reason in particular, I suggest the Chicago area for the meet.

Too far for me to travel but I sure wish I could! There are a lot of you in the Chicago area so I would suggest that as your meeting ground.

I wish there were more members in a 2-3 hr radius from me. This sounds like a blast!!

It might be a bit far for my clan too, how do you get on getting lithium cells on planes again……

Mammoth Cave, Tennessee

You can bring Lion cells on a plane. I brought my DRY on a plane once.

LOL

I head that way quite often anyway. Mammoth Cave, Tennessee would be great!

Keith

Li-Ions on a plane are not an issue. If they were all cell phones, tablets and laptops would be banned.

However they do seem to get annoyed when you have 2 dozen nimh AAs in your carry on. They had to inspect them but they ended up waving me through.

I thought Mammoth Cave was in Kentucky?
