Another crazy wee mod for yous :wink:

I bought these for cheap on the bay and had a spare MT-G2 emitter…

.

Two mode sliding switch, left low, right high.
High mode is simply direct drive and low is throttled with a 100ohm resistor.
Copper heatsink. Potted.
Unfortunately it doesn’t have the throw of the original emitter array but it was a sacrifice i was willing to make. :person_facepalming:

9v Alkaline
High - 450mA
Low - 40mA

9v Lithium ion rechargeable
High - 300mA
Low - 30mA

Max – 150lm
cd – 50
Throw – 14m

oh man this is beyond cool!
I did se that strange light somewhere but did not think much of it, you just put a led worth more then the entire thing in there :smiley:
