Blue Lake 3000-Lumen LEP Light Engine Global launch

Current LEP flashlight products on the market generally do not exceed 1000 lumens. The Blue Lake ZT4 applies high-power LEP technology, previously used in special vehicle lighting, to flashlights for the first time—introducing the world’s first 3000-lumen LEP light source designed for the mobile lighting market.

ZT4 adopts a blue-laser-excited phosphor coating LEP white-light solution: the blue laser is precisely collimated and directed onto a proprietary phosphor layer, generating a broad-spectrum yellow light, which combines with the residual blue light to form near-white light. This output is then shaped by a reflector cup or secondary optics to produce a controllable, long-throw, high-intensity beam.

Oh, cool! I didn’t realise at first glance that the module integrates with a reflector!

That might make it easier to assemble.

Don’t expect a review of the ZT4 LEP in the foreseeable future, at the moment there is no sample (low CRI) available.

In theory almost all LEP modules (at least the pass-through models) can be used with a reflector. It’s just adding spill to the beam and makes the flashlight large , that’s why most of them use a lens.
