BNTECHGO silicone wire??

Has anyone used this silicone insulated wire Good/bad? They have assorted gauges.

Or where do you buy your wire? I’ve been buying lengths from mtnelectronics. I’m happy with it, just looking around.

No, I have not used that, but I guess it is ok?
I got mine here, I like it: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/catalogsearch/result/?erp_category=&q=silicon+wire

I always buy this Acer racing superworm wire:

It’s expensive but very high quality and flexible.

I have BNTECHGO silicone wire in 14-24AWG. It is good stuff. Fine strands too.

Thanks for that :+1: vwpieces. Thanks to djozz and enderman too.

I use generic wire from Ebay depending on the job i have bought some from Fasttech its all good. I do have some store bought wire but no difference except the insulation is a tad thicker on the store bought wire. It is higher gauge so that is to be expected.
I dont think it matters much with low voltage we use generic wire at work bought by the roll.

use the same Ebay wire for 0.75mm² 140 stranded silicone wire

Also have the Fastech wire in about the same variety, 18-22. Really no difference compared side by side. If you can wait get the FT 10M lengths. Need it quick get the BNTECHGO from Amazon.

Turnigy from HobbyKing is good stuff too. But they never seem to have the gauge or color in stock I need at the time.

:+1:

Hmm? The stuff I’ve tried from eBay has been less easy to work with and is a bit thicker insulation for the same gauge. Also, “the good stuff” like turnigy wire from mtn has more fine strands and will not break off as easily as the cheaper wire. It’s also rated for 200c and some stuff higher, compared to the 150c I sometimes get from eBay. Maybe I’m using the wrong sellers? Of corse, once it’s all hooked up and in there, wire is wire:)

FWIW, both the FT and BNTECHGO wire I have are 200c

I found Adafruit has a lot of colors of 26 and 30 AWG silicone wire; good for e-switch and indicator led applications. But shipping is a killer on small orders. :frowning:

I need some 26-30 now that E-SW lights are popular.
Wasn’t long ago I thought these were a bad idea. I have several now.
