The only possible simple mod that I can foresee is to swap it with an XP-L neutral white emitter.

How would this be simple? It looks almost impossible. If you figure out how to do it, I would swap it out as well. It’s a bit too blue tinted for my tastes.

The only simple mod I’ve done was replace the reflector with a 60* wide angle lens. This really helps me as I use it for working on things when I need both hands free.

NOTE: The mod will be documented in Post 6 below. There seems to be no tear down info on this light. No doubt do to the unmovable cap that is at the switch-end of the light. I was certain it had thread lock. So I kept trying progressively higher levels of heat while using pieces of leather in a vice and in plier jaws. I tried to be gentle, but once the heat was getting high enough to damage the components inside, I gave up on gentle. Turned out the "tailcap" has no threads at all and is p…

Not sure if it really “simple” to open up this light, but I think it is quite possible as long as the parts are not glued together.

The construction of this light is definitely not the same as our “normal flashlight”. We will find out when I receive mine soon.
