Boruit V7 EDC flashlight Review
Hey folks it’s been a long time since I have done a written review, so I thought I would fill your eyeballs with words.
Today we are reviewing the Boruit V7 I picked the V7 up online for an amazing 8USD from a website called Temu not to be confused with an Emu. You can find the Boruit V7 for sale at Aliexpress link below and or Temu.

What is a Boruit V7? It’s an EDC flashlight with a few quirks that need to be ironed out by a steam roller. Nah in all serious it’s a well package, unique looking EDC that needs a few improvements. I will say its by far one of the better-looking EDC flashlights on the market I may be biassed as I built a light like this, but I like the design.
Build Quality
Overall, the build quality of the Boruit V7 is great the fit and finish is perfect in every way. Unlike similar flashlights in this category and price range the Boruit V7 features a full 6061 aluminium body that is anodized.
The anodising is of good quality appears to be hard anodising type 3 as its tuff and has been wear resistant. I have EDC the V7 for over a week and it still looks good.
The bezel is glued in place which is understandable you don’t want LEDs falling out the front if the light is dropped. I would guess the bezel is Stainless Steel, but I did scratch it with my tweezer trying to get it undone.
The Boruit V7 is IPX5 rated even with the built in USB type c charging port. The USB port is here to charge the internal 800mah lithium polymer cell. The USB port cover fits on tight and seals well but can be hard to grab once on, but if you want it work. Plus, the V7 is drop resistant to 1.5 metres, comes in handy for those times when you carry to much shopping and drop your keys.
The clip is plastic it feels sturdy but If you try and break it it will break, the Boruit V7 has indents where the clip sits so it holds on to the light properly.
The no lockout mode is a big no for me, the Boruit V7 is a rectangle flashlight so it won’t roll and activate like a normal flashlight. You can rock the switch on but I’m not sure how likely that would happen.

Output
The Boruit V7 features 7 LEDs in total it should have most of your needs covered.
Upfront the Boruit V7 is using 3 of the 351B LEDs its anyone guess if these are really Samsung LEDs. For the price I would guess they are not genuine Samsung LEDs, but stranger things have happened. I really hate when company state the LED is a XHP50 or in this case a 351B but don’t say it’s a Samsung LED it’s a bit misleading. Yet it’s not really lying as it could really be a no name 351B.
Buys new car, here is your new Civic buts it’s really a Hondont Civic.

The turbo mode is only accessible from a push and hold mode and even thought I did measure 1129 lumens it stepdown quick.
I was not able to accurately measure the auxiliary LEDs output but I have attached photos so you can gauge output.
Modes and UI
This is the sucky part, the UI is a bit all over the place, I mean it’s a very well-priced flashlight so to me it is what it is.
No lockout mode (not so EDC friendly)
It does have a memory mode for both sets of LEDs, but it doesn’t work on the flashing modes with the auxiliary LEDs.
Push and hold power button to access instant turbo mode.
- Turbo mode 1100 Lumens
Double click power button to access other front LED modes. Single click to change modes from here starting on high mode.
-
High Mode: 410 Lumens
-
Medium Mode: 120 Lumen
-
Low Mode: 65 Lumens
-
Eco Mode: 25 Lumens
To access the back LEDs the (auxiliary LEDS) I guess it’s the same thing but on the other button (one with the lightning bolt).
Push and hold second button it will always give you momentary white LED which is not as bright as the front LEDs. It did measure at a 6500k tint.
Double click will enter your last used mode, then push to cycle modes.
I did not measure the output of these LEDs, but the options are white LED, UV LED, red LED, red flash, red and blue flash.
Overall
Overall, the Boruit V7 is a great flashlight with a few kinks but it’s hard to beat at the price I paid, even at around the usual 13USD mark you can’t buy anything remotely as good for the price. Add to that the Boruit V7 has a unique and cool design its hard to beat. Once the V7 is opened you can always upgrade the driver and LED if you wanted and still be in-front money wise.
