Unfortunately I killed a KD 5xXM-L driver too...it didn't die outright like the others but after about 30 minutes of light use it refused to switch modes anymore. Hope you have better luck, but your odds aren't very good friend!

Those days of experimenting with the KD boost drivers were dark ones for me. So much hope, so much performance, so much disappointment. 
And here I am thinking I’m into an exciting new realm.
I have been running two KD*5s for a month now with no problems. Five emitters with three cells and three emitters with two cells.
