I’ve read many flashlights reviews (here or online), and, sadly, i don’t think i’d have anyway the skills to do a review of the same level/same quality than what most peoples are doing…
At that price point I don’t think I would try it without seeing reviews. I have some concerns that could be completely unfounded, but I can’t tell online.
Telescoping. How durable is it? Will it take years of abuse, or will it bend and break the second time it gets used or knocked over?
Materials. Is it durable, or is it the same cheap chinese plastic as other crappy lanterns?
Those legs don’t look very supportive, and they don’t look adjustable which would be a problem on anything other than level ground.
IP5? I would prefer having a higher rating for anything I use outdoors.
The panel orientation feature looks handy, but once again that depends on construction. If it’s durable great, if the connections are going to get flaky I can do without.
Without knowing those answers, I think I would rather have a BLF LT1 on a tripod for the price.
Yeah i think i’ll skip that lantern for now, probably too many red flags (i also read a comment on amazon speaking about the telescopic rod being stuck after a few uses).
