Hey guys I have built/assembled a couple of pills for my B158. A red XP-E2 driven at 2.2 amps and an XP-L HI driven at 3.04 Amps. I’m happy with both for what they are intended for.
I now want the best throw I can possibly get with this light. Ideally, I’d like to light up deer sized animals at 6-800 yards. I’ve read a bunch on here about de-domed XP-G2 S4 2B being the best, but then Cree changed the things and they don’t put out as much light.
What is the current best choice for maximum throw in this light?
