Here we have a highly modified Brinyte DIV01. Bought from Amzn
Original
The stock DIV01 runs on 3 C cells batteries. I couldn't have that. For my preferences the stock dive light is too long and costs me more money having to always replace spent batteries.
So I sent this off to Vesture of Blood (VOB) to chop the light and bore out the tube to run on a single 26650 Li-ion. As requested VOB also cracked open the front bezel in case I wanted to change out the LED and driver.
I'm thinking about a possible direct drive in the future. This light is brand new to me, so I haven't tested the runtime.
VOB mentioned that the Brinyte quality (checkering, finish, etc) was excellent, even better than his experience w/Surefire lights.
The DIV01 is about the same size as some of the other Brinyte dive lights. But mine runs on 1 x 26650.
Respective weight with batteries, from Left to Right:
238g : Securitylng/Brinyte DIV05
327g : chopped DIV01
370g : DIV03
Now I can use this as a primary light with Goodman handle. Compared to my DIV03 (far right above) it is lighter and should give better runtimes.
