My wife dropped by D4S and the the board at the tail of the light fell out. Am I missing anything?
Here are the pictures. Appreciate any help.
I placed the board in the tail and screwed it tight and nothing happens.

Center it and hot glue it back on, keeping in mind the contact points?
Chris
I don’t see contact points?
Does the light work by just pressing the spring against the battery(with your thumb) so contact is made with the body?
It is not doing anything when I press the spring(by pushing the back of the board) against the battery
Well now you need to jump the negative end of the battery to the edge of the body. The light will either work or not. If it does, the tail spring board is bad. If it doesn’t some other problem is happening.
…. husband calls wife from work, “honey, I won the Lotto! Start packing!
wife: what should I pack, Winter or Summer things?
husband: I don’t care what you pack, just be gone when I get home!!!
Like this? Because it still won’t work.
I tried touching the nickel tab to the inside of the body too.
Like that yes. That bare aluminum on the end of battery tube is where the current flows to the head, so as long as you had a good connection there the trouble is elsewhere.
I appreciate the help. It made good contact and I think it made enough contact to at least trigger the aux LEDs nothing happens though. I emailed Hank. This flashlight is awesome and it means a lot to me. Really want it fixed.
I took the head off, observed the wiring and none of the solder joints are broken and it looks good. I’m not comfortable prying out the boards though.
If the AUX LEDs are on, then it sounds like the switch is disconnected.
Sorry if I worded that badly. Nothing is on
The light should work by simply placing that board, spring towards battery of course, inside the tail cap and screwing it on. If it doesn’t, there is something wrong in the top end of the light. I could have a look at it if you’d be comfortable with that…
Hank gave me an address In the US and it looks like I’m sending it to Vihn from skylumen. If it wasn’t going to be taken care of for free I would of loved you to look at it(at whatever cost you asked.)
I left it sitting, closed, with the board shoved in the tail cap. The light got really warm and the battery drained from 3.9 to 3.56
Something is wrong for sure.
most excellent customer service if Hank is taking care of it for free.
He’s great and two Emisar lights will for sure be turning into many. I always stand behind company’s that stand behind their products.
I bought a D1S as a gift for a family friend. You’ve never seen a more tough, cool 60 year old ukranian with a mullet, turn into a child. Every other word was, “wooweeyyy nobody has this!” As he finds even further objects to shine at.
The schoolgirl giggles, that’s what it’s all about! You should have seen me when I modded a Q8 into a 17 emitter 22,000 lumen monster! Fun stuff…
Glad to hear Hank is getting it done, pretty sure you’ll be pleased with it.
