Brontelight Technology: 900 lumen 4000 mah 26650 battery LED flashlight 5 output mode @US$79.99

Now it is 2015 and our Bronte X26 has been made improvements as per clients’ feedback.
We will test our products soon and revise the data.

At least when we measure the lux readings by ourself the results we get are usually not that far off from what those premium brands claim? As far as I am aware of, Fenix, Olight, Nitecore… they did publish fairly accurate candela reading on their packaging/website.

When it comes to the beam distance, I can understand that how many meters the beam can go is quite a subjective thing because to different people (who have different visual ability) and under different environmental conditions (clear weather, foggy…) the effective beam distance could be different. But at least the candela numbers are always consistent.

So to Brontelight, why don’t you show us the candela that you measure from your products (many other premium brands have done it)? With that information many of us here can immediately tell whether your numbers make sense (based on your flashlight design), or you just simply make things up.

I don’t know about the others, but when it comes to premium brands (since you market yourself as one of them) I am quite pedantic, because we pay much more for premium things. You ask for $80? So you better tell us why it worth that much.

I might give this company a chance if they send a product for review or lower their prices. I cant risk the kind of money they are asking to get a disappointing light worth $20.

This is good. Be honest and people around here will support you.

I would also consider a name change. It’s not a terrible name, I just don’t care for it that much…but maybe other do?

+1

From my point of view, I and others here have tried to give friendly advice to Bronte but they don’t seem to take it on board. Some if not all of their lights look budget, some are blatent rip offs of Olight and their prices seem way to high. What’s worse to me is that when anyone asks a technical question they simply don’t answer.

Compare that to Eagleeye who have posted in the last few days. Thir quality is superb and they talk to us and answer questions. On top of that they are a third of the price.

Take a look Bronte at Eagleeye as they are your competition.

Exactly

Thank you for your advice.

We are trying to answer all the questions after our technicians have done tests.

Bronte have you seen this.

This light is very high quality, doesn’t come with a cell, but is now only $22 shipped.

I got a idea on how they can reinvent themselves. They can drop the asinine price for the complete light set down to $32.99 and run with the zombie themed advertising. They can make their profit from sales volume instead of trying to be greedy and sell a $20 flashlight for $80.

Everybody loves zombies. There are several zombie tv shows and movies out there right now. Don’t forget Zombie Max ammunition. Anything zombie can make you a some good money.

Replace that breaking glass with that tiny flashlight with something like this.

Here’s the Zombie Max ammo advertisement.

I like to goof off and be smart here on BLF but I’m actually trying to be serious about this zombie stuff. If Bronte were to change their name and try the zombie angle while it’s still popular, they could make a decent profit.

Make a fake MagLite suppressor as seen in the Walking Dead as a airsoft attachment. The airsoft nerds would be lining up saying “take my money”.
