BSIDE ADM02 - Cheap Autoranging Multimeter.

I’ve bought one from GearBest

The price after using points was nice. The temperature sensor of the first unit I’ve received was not working. After contacting GB, they’ve sent me a replacement.

My first impressions:
It looks nice. The rubber holster fits nicely. You can hear the buttons rattle when you tilt the meter. Both meters have same voltage/current/resistance readings, so I guess they are calibrated (I don’t have any high end meters or voltage reference). The temperature sensor reads about 5C too low at 30C temperature. The back light is a nice bright white. It takes about a second to autorange. When you turn the meter on or move the probes it overshoots and it takes about 5s to settle down to 0v.

That’s it for now.

Curious about the high-current accuracy?

I expect this meter likely comes with cheap leads but I’m curious about accuracy at +3A levels. I’ve got two low-end multimeters and one can handle 3A loads accurately with factory leads while the second one reads low at anything approaching the 3A level.

I have a 502b flashlight that pulls 3.5A based on voltage drop through a 0.05ohm resistor. Both meters read 3A with stock probes. I was able to get as high as 3.3A with FT Probes.
