I buy these just for the batteries. They also fit 21700 batteries

Since it is a gift I assume, it needs USB C charging onboard. No Convoy is under $20 with USB charging. No Muggle will have a LION charger. The Sofirn S11C is $16 US, including 2200 mAh Sofirn battery. It is slightly zoomie, but at the middle portion it works great. LH351D, USB C charging. And the zoom lens serves to somehow lower the DUV, so that the LH351D actually looks neutral/slightly magenta. Very nice beam.

The only option better than that is the Wurkkos FC11, with 519a LED, at $25.
