Surprisingly, it was my Zebralight SC600w Mk IV Plus that did it. I always thought that a Hanklight would be most likely to destroy a pair of pants and I carry them a LOT.
It was in my pocket with my wallet and wireless IEM case and somehow when I went to grab my wallet the button got depressed. Suddenly I smelled something burning in my car and realized what it was. Due to the pants being made with synthetics, the pocket actually fused to the pants leg–there was also a hole clean through both pants and pant leg.
The important thing is, the flashlight is ok. It cost almost four times what that cheap pair of “dress” pants did anyway.
Wow !
Impressive lighter, Heu … I mean flashlight
That’s why I’m a big fan of auto-lockout / light sensor (Even if it’s quite rare furthermore when I transport the light in the original cardboard
@MascaratumB Yea I was surprised! In the past I’ve always felt the heat before any damage was done. This time I was sitting and the pocket was not in contact with my leg.
@Kerberus Thanks! I literally didn’t feel a thing actually (see above). I don’t know if the Zebralights have a lockout. I’ll check it out.
Used to get “credit cards” in the mail all the time from card companies. I was thinking it would be neat to see one of those melted. TBH I haven’t seen one in a while though.
