Camping Light.

Agreed, the E02 is probably the most versatile and useful mini-EDC light i ever used. i carry one in my pocket at all times.

Isn’t 2000K a really really warm temp?…. Like a minimag solitaire on a dead alkaleak, or an amber colored LED?

maybe an amber Glo toob?

I used a UCO candle lantern for a season. It was kind of cool. But I NEVER hung it… too hot and close to my tent. I would light it and set it out in the vestibule area on a piece of foil. I might have to use it for my next camping trip. Late April on angel island in SF. We take a boat to one point and backpack around the island to camp site on the other side of the island. Its going to be cold and damp at night so the additional heat from a small candle will be nice.

its close to that of a kerosene oil lamp flame color. (a bit yellower than that of a wax candle flame, which is closer to 2300K. (2700 ~ 3200K is close to Incandescent, 3500 ~3800K close to halogen.

How many emitters are on it and what did you swap in? Any pictures?

Sadly i didn’t take any photos, but it has a series of 8 or 10 SMD type emitters. ( i un-soldered the white LEDs one at a time and replace the originals (they are roughly 6500K) with some high CRI 4000K versions that i salvaged from a 48” high CRI LED lighting tube.
