Can silicone cure inside a teflon / PTFE mold ?

Can RTV silicone (aka silicone caulk or adhesive) be peeled off teflon after its cured fully? I’m looking for it to be removable.

Could being completely surrounded by teflon slow the cure rate?
Not sure if neutral (non-corrosive) or acidic would be better. Teflon would be thin, 1mm max & silicone 1-2mm.

Teflon is notorious for not sticking to anything, I think you are safe here, but you could do a small test first..

About the only way to stick stuff to teflon is to etch the teflon first. They used to use metallic sodium dust suspended in THF or anhydrous ammonia to do the etching. Now there is something a little less dramatic.

Silicone caulk wont harden out of air unless it has a curing agent added. You need to use a casting silicone. Or try this:

Most (maybe all) silicone products use moisture from the air to cure. Moisture has a way of working it's way into everything. If you seal it in real good, it could take a very long time to cure.

neutral cure silicon will set without air hence why its used under waterproofing compounds.
acidic on the other hand will never set without it .

Thank you ttrevs1. Good info.

Smooth-on makes Tin and Platnum cure Silicones.
Air contact is not an issue.

RTV needs air, IIRC.
