Ok, I finally managed to get my hands on an XHP70.2 thanks to Lumintop. So I put it on the sphere and was seriously impressed. I ran this test at 12V so that I could test it fully since my power supply is limited to 15A. I have converted the numbers to the more common 6V in the spreadsheet. If you would like to see the performance at 12v, simply double the voltage and half the current. So 10A at 6V becomes 5A at 12V (which is what the BLF GT is capable of doing on the stock driver). This LED…
Texas Ace got over 10k from a cold start on the bench. His heatsink couldn’t keep up at high currents. I wouldn’t be too surprised if a pair of 30T/40T could hit 20A+.
And yes, turn-on/cold led numbers are different than ANSI or other measures. But when we’re talking about hot-rod turbo runs they’re the number that matters.
