I have this and the throw is something out of this world.
Yeah, I don’t see how the M1 could throw all that far (compared to an LEP) with it’s 35.6mm head.
You’d think that any regular flashlight with a larger head would throw further (with the same emitter.) 
That green W1 performs way better than the white versions.
M1 CULNM1 is a ton of fun! Not a lumen monster by any stretch but lots more reach than one might think.

It’s a trade-off between color, distance, and width. When you switch to a green LED, sacrifice the color, and the other two become incredibly efficient.
