Cheap Led-Engin 400nm - 405nm uv

Does any one know if this is a fake, or maybe an older model?

I have never seen a Led Engin uv that cheap. Normally they are sold from ~20 Euro

Led-Engin-LZ1-U6-400nm-405nm

Lck-led is legitimate seller, I have bought stuff there (not sure how reliable though), they have a separate paypal store as well.

This one is not in their store, just on ebay and the deal sounds great, a bit weird that the board is labeled 'Cree' while Ledengin has their own unique footprint. Mind that these Ledengin leds have big dies so great output but not much throw.

Thanks :-)

I'm searching for good (and cheap ) 390-405nm uv Led for a triple led flashlight. So I might try these.

Any suggestions for Led's with more throw?

they go for 20 bucks min here, for uv, i do not see how real ledengin would cost less than $4. i say it is a scam.

also cree star looks very suspicious, ledengin led contaks and heatpad do not match any cree model, so i have no idea how they mounted it on cree star.

From their own page (even cheaper) it looks legit

And one more thing, the lz1 U6 I think is black, not white, so the picture is not correct.

Edit: I know not enough to know this for sure, their website clearly shows a white coloured led as well.

Edit2: the descrkption nowhere mentions that it comes on a board. Be sure you have the correct board for it.

never mind, they have correct wattage below

but still 4 bucks for led engin… sounds too good to be true

hmmm - djozz you are right about the the base normally being black. I cannot find any with a white base.

But alpg88 -youre wrong. Several single die ledengin are 5w or more

yes, i was wrong some are 5w indeed.

here is white base lz1 from ledengin site, they do exsist

thanks alpg88!

Well, I send them a mail asking for confirmation if it's legit Led Engin. I'll let you know.

well look at the bright side, even if it is fake, (which i’m sure of 99,9%) you only out $4 bucks.

Haha :-) - true. Always look at the bright side
