Should of asked before I made this impulse buy — UltraFire WF-501B LED 375NM UV for under $9.
Anything close in price better for general knocking about?

This UV S2 looks promising, but I don't think anyone has received on yet to comment:
The Banggood reviews make me think it's not a true 365nm.
Convoy S2 365nm UV Single/3/7 Modes SMO Reflector LED Flashlight Coupon code b2d408
How much does the coupon code save?
I just got one of the Convoy S2’s in UV today. I got the three mode just for kicks, it works very well for finding spills or lighting up the lint on your clothes, etc. I have no way to see if it is an actual 365nm, but the levels all work and there is some purplewhite light that is emitted.
If you shine it on something that is fluorescent, you have a much wider beam than what the purplewhite emitted shows for area. As you move the purplewhite off the item it is still glowing for the rest of the spill…. about a typical S2 width (similar to my Eagle Eye A6, the only other tube light I have) for spill.
So how does one (short of expensive gear) find out if it is a 365nm UV vs any other wavelength? I have a piece of amber that this fluoresces nicely, what else works as a tell tale for 365nm range?
The code above is the one on M4D M4X’s deal page where I got mine, it is about $2.50 off on the three mode, which I just turned into the priority mail shipping and paid about $1 more to get it quicker. I REALLY like the grey color, sets it apart enough from the other lights that I can tell it is my UV light…
It is a nice light, my first Convoy and seems to be a quality build. I wish they would put the seven mode driver in a regular light… The three modes seems practical for this light, the lowest would be enough to check hand stamps or bills, the highest to hunt scorpions…
I have a camera that is modified for full spectrum sensitivity. With the correct wave length filter, it could check the approximate amount of illumination in that wavelength… I have been wanting to build or buy a couple in different wavelengths to use as macro illuminators. I keep becoming more and more tempted.
Nice UV group grope…err I mean buy starting here.
Thanks, now I am in too…
