Be careful with fasttech on batteries…I have had both good and bad with them…especially when the LiIon battery freeze comes when a plane falls out of the sky when they catch fire
I have had to wait over 2 months for batteries (loose cell) and other times with stuff inside a case like vaping rigs I have had as short as a week, average is about 30 days…or about the time I forgot I bought em
This is a EBL18650 cell test. So if there 18650’s are not that good, I wouldn’t expect the 14500’s to be any better.
Notice he is only testing under a 2 amp load and they still only gave only 2588mah.
Maybe someone here can chime in on the actual 14500 your talking about.
Edit : forgot to put in the link, fixed now. :person_facepalming:
Good and cheap doesn’t really go together. Decent and cheap might but if you want good batteries there almost always gonna cost a little more.
When buying a battery you need to consider what you will be using it for. Either low current draw or high current draw or somewhere in the middle. There are different batteries to meet each type of usage. We can recommend you a battery but without knowing what type of use it will see makes it hard.
Go here and look at HKJ’s comparator.
On one side pull up the Soshine 14500 900mAh (White-yellow) and the other pull up Efest IMR14500 650mAh (Purple) 2017.
The Soshine will last longer under a moderate current load but the Efest has less battery sag and will produce more lumen’s in a high current draw light with a longer run time.
I’m using them in a Lumen Top Tool AA, rarely use high, mostly medium.
This is my first foray into 14500’s.
Previously carried 18650 light daily but carrying little AA more often.
I repurpose 18650 cells from lap top battery pulls and haven’t had to really learn about retail batteries until recently.
