It will come with an Ultrafire 18650. Throw it in the lithium recycling bin.
Isnt there a posibility that the emitter you get will just be pot luck with either of them?
I have 2 Aleto on the way so I’ll let you know what the emitters are like.
The Ultrafire ZY-T11 clone that I got from Banggood has a very plain cool white emitter, like most other chinese XM-L lights have.
Just measured the output (with an Efest IMR at 4.11V resting voltage), it is 490 lumens at 1.66A measured at the tail. Say that the voltage under load is 4V, then the efficiency is 74 OTFlumens/watt, making this one of my more efficient lights (it helps of course that the led is not overdriven, most of my mods are :-) )
I followed the output for the first two minutes and it hardly drops, so the heatpath directly around the led is very good (for this current).
I don't know if is mentioned anywhere (it probably is), but I waved the light before my eyes together with a NANJG105C light and the pwm-frequency looks exactly the same, so must be around 4000Hz, nice.
A well done little light it is...
d*rn cheaproo, you're fast :-)
I’ve just had another look at them by flashing both onto a white sheet. Apologies. Indeed, the Aleto would be classified as “cool white” rather than warm white.
Point I should have made is the Aleto has more green in the tint so is a few shades closer to ‘warm white’ than the Small Sun. Either would be distinct amongst the numerous road warm white lights. It’s just that the Small Sun is a fraction more distinct.
The difference is minor so it may well be just acceptable variation of ‘cool white’ binning of the emitters.
