I would like to show you two very interesting high power flashlights from the Chinese brand Shuolide. I found them some time ago on 1688.com which is the wholesale variant of Taobao. They are available also on Taobao but at a higher price. They seem to be available only in China.
They both have fan cooling like the Imalent high power flashlights but they cost half the price of a similar Imalent flashlight.
The SLD-12C has 12 XHP70.2 and four 21700 batteries. The XHP70.2 are genuine. I own the 5000K variant which I ordered through a shopping agent. The 5000K XHP70.2 are slightly green and it is long click to turn off but for the rest the flashlight works well. I have no Imalent flashlight to compare it to.
The bigger SLD-24C has 24 XHP70.2, eight 21700 batteries and is specified with 150 000 lumens. It has 150mm head diameter and three fans. If the lumens are correct you could position it between the Imalent MS18 and the MS32.
Great find! I probably have no use for these lights, but the price seems more than reasonable. 1600.00元 converts to $227 US, which sounds incredible for the 24 emitter version. It also reflects the huge markup of other lights that we are willing to pay for our hobby!
Can you post a review and/or make a YouTube video?
The big flashlights are coming! You will never guess how big!
The one on the left has a head diameter of 14.3 cm, uses 32 P80 leds and 16 21700 batteries. That makes it 41 cm long and it weighs about 4kg. It should deliver 120 000 lumens.
It can be found on Taobao (Link), 1688 (Link) and 1688 again (Link)
The price is reasonable and ranges from 100$ to 290$. There are different variants and designs from four to 16 21700 batteries and from 16 to 32 leds. None of them are CREE leds, they are all Chinese clones. That may be a reason for the low price.
One might be tempted to order a flashlight, swap out the leds for XHP70.2 and see what happens.
As far as I know Acebeam has stopped its participation at the lumens race. The X90 was planned but it never came out. The Acebeam X75 with 80.000 lumens is their brightest flashlight. Imalent holds the record now with the 200.000 lumens MS32.
All the other flashlights with multiple leds in this thread are Chinese brands. I don’t know if they will find their way to Europe and America. They can be imported from Taobao, though.
Once you get over 125,000 Lumens it’s really diminished returns. Even 100k Lumens doesn’t last nore than maybe 1.5 seconds, and the heat buildup is incredible, not to mention the infrastructure needed to produce that output. Current technology doesn’t allow higher outputs in hand held form factors, so I think 200k (ever so briefly) is the brightest we’ll see for a long while and Imalent owns the title until we can test these Chinese lights and see how close they get. Nightwatch tried to get to 94,000 with the A15, but only made 61,000 with forced air cooling no less.
