christmas light order dilema

I asked toni if I could order a light for Christmas for her to wrap up for me (i think that sentence makes sense).

Anyway, I’m quite tempted by this new z7 emitter light

Simply because its not another Xm-l, something different to play with.

The thing is, its just a bit cheaper than the xintd c8 nw.

I’ve got a week to think on it before ordering, but what would you do? Go for something different or go for the light that’s been the object of your desire for a while?

And can anyone throw any other $30ish 18650/26650 light suggestions into the ring? :smiley:

Easy choice.
Which ever one you can get a discount on Right Now.
If not on sale, it will always be there when you are ready.

The Z7 does look interesting but is a smaller head I do believe so will not throw as far but will be a better walk the dog light maybe.

I gotta tell ya, I’ve purchased a lot of lights over the years. At the $30 price point, this is my absolute favorite.

Don’t get a Z7 it’s a 4 die led so it’s pretty much just an updated SSC P7. So throw and beam pattern won’t be so great.

Do you presently have the XinTD C8? If not then that would definitely be the go to light. It’s pretty much the standard XM-L thrower because it has a known good driver with your choice of modes and invisible PWM, which is extremely rare in the budget world where 5 mode is the annoying standard along with it’s equally annoying low frequency PWM.

Dilemma solved, I’m getting the blf a8 in nw for Christmas. If for some perverse reason I don’t like nw, I can order the u3 xintd c8 guilt free for my birthday in February. Thanks for the suggestions, I don’t need talking in to the xintd, I generally try to talk other people into it….

Resolution, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll have a look next year, I just don’t trust dx to get it here this year… :bigsmile:

Glad to hear you decided to go with the BLF A8 in NW. I was reading through and planning to suggest it but you beat me to it. 8) Looking forward to getting the same thing for myself. ;)

I’d already promised it to myself tbh, now though, I don’t have to skulk around with it as its been cleared.

I’m also going to get a few of the drivers in the order, good set of modes for changing out unwanted flashy modes and cheaper than nanjg drivers to boot. 8)
