But with a secret handshake? To separate the sheep from the goats? So to speak?
Sure, there are private servers, but for example the flashlight server is open for everyone to join.
according to USPS tracking…it has been delivered.
Thank you guys. I can read the wiki about it but it’s better to ‘hear’ your perspective on it. I have a FB page but don’t spend much time on it. Love to see what all my friends and family are up to every few days and then I’m out.
Long time since I’ve been active here… a lot going on, moving into a new place across the country from my old location, but things should be back to a semblance of normality sooner rather than later for me. Got the box today, haven’t unpacked any of my flashlight stuff yet but going to make that a priority now ![]()
Thanks for the update.
My selection. Convoy 3x21B, KunHe (has an extremely long 26mm diameter cell, and perhaps the strangest UI I’ve seen), SZEFEIC(?) FC11 (the other FC11?), Fitorch, Thrunite T1 Pro, and Wissblue (a rebranded Convoy S2+)
Still some more mainstream lights available too, I went for some of the odd ones.
@Superstocker, will send when I get your address.
I sent wolfgirl42 my address.

Thanks for posting the picture wolfgirl.

Thank you to all who have contributed to the box, none of those lights accept one were put in by me. A very generous bunch here!

About those “SZEFEIC(?)” lights. That was a brand I loosely considered offering on my website at one point. I have a couple of their headlamps and the are solidly built. I love the design of this 2 LED, 2 button one.
The Achilles heel of them is the the way the power ON. Its a press and hold. For me there is almost nothing I despise more than press and hold to turn a light on. I can live with press hold to power off (still don’t care for that either). Other than that they are a very well designed light IMO.
Glad to see the convoy and Thrunite get picked up! The xhp70hi’s are fairly sweet.
The box just arrived today! I will try and go over it as soon as I can and get it back on the road.
Edit: I went ahead and messaged Lochs for his address too.
Just responded to superstocker with my address
Count me in if it’s still happening
What lights did you pick?
Sorry for the delay. I was going to post both what I got and that I shipped it at the same time but there has been a little delay in the latter.
Here is what I grabbed:
- Wurkos ts10 (Box 2)
- Wurkkos DL07 (Box 2 and for my oldest daughter)
- Sofirn HS 20 (Box 2)
- Nitecore Tup (Box 3 and for my middle daughter)
- Random 10440 light (Box 3)
- Angled AA light (Box 3 for my youngest daughter)
- Headband (Box 3)
- 3 Glow in the dark hearts (these were loose in the box for the girls)
- 3 Glow lollipops (these were also loose in the box for the girls)
I would like to thank Matt and everyone else who has contributed to this. the Lollipop lights were a hit with my little girls. This was a nice surprise as my wife was recently notified she is being laid off from work. I’ll get the box on its way as soon as I can.

I was just coming to update the thread. It looks like the came is coming to an end. Superstocker informed me that the box has just about petered out. There is no box 1. Box 2 only has 3 lights in it. The rest is just miscellaneous stuff at this point. He suggested just letting lochs keep whatever is left in it, and I agree.
I would like to thank everyone who has played, I have enjoyed this so much, and I hope you all did as well.
Have a wonderfully budget light day!!!
Thanks again Matt!
I’m glad that this experiment worked out so well!
(I wasn’t so sure when the idea was first proposed.) ![]()
Thanks for organizing this, Matt. It was a lot of fun receiving the box. And then seeing what others got out of it.
I suppose it was inevitable that the game could only last so long. Sure was a great game while it lasted. I can barely begin to find the words to thank Matt and his incredible generosity in putting this game together and his contributions to those of us who benefited. Certainly not something you see every day. Thanks again, Matt. I won’t forget.
