- Shouldn’t you ask and confirm with the factory whether they can offer the discounted price BEFORE you made promises to the community here?

And i never said we can not give discount for normal flashlight…I have replied the private messages here one by one. Have i missed someone’s personal message?

This is an old trick played by many sellers over and over again, not only for Aurabuy, not only for online sellers.
Yes, we can’t say that you are wrong, you are indeed giving a discount, but this however makes customers feel stupid, another way of being “cheated”. Not to mention I can get 5% discount from Fasttech and Aliexpress sellers anyday.
5% is what Fast Tech offers and I don’t see anyone complaining about that. So I don’t think it’s too bad. Also she can only do so much but like Kevin I’m sure she can work out something closer to 10% on individual lights if you ask her. I don’t think they are going to give more than 5% across the board because they probably don’t have that much of a profit margin on some of these lights. I would just do like I did with Kevin a couple times. I shopped around and found a good deal on a light I wanted and asked for a coupon code. Most of their prices are not great but that is like any of the sellers. Some lights they managed to get cheap and some they don’t.
I was happy with both of the lights I bought from them in the past. One was the JacobA60 I sold that to someone on here and the other was the X8 that I just gave away. Kevin gave all of us a discount on the Jacob and he gave me a code on the X8 it still wasn’t super cheap but it was a good light at a good price.
I guess I could be a little bias because I won one of the lights. But I still think it’s not fair to complain about 5% across the board and even more individually. Especially not when Fast tech has the same discount and nobody complains.
Also their shipping is fairly quick from what I remember and they wrap everything with about 20 layers of bubble wrap.
Well anyway thanks again for the give away and don’t worry too much about anyone giving you a rough time. Just try and get them as good a deal as you can and they will eventually find something they like at a price they want to pay. Also they were just kidding about the 50% 60% etc.
I don’t think people would be complaining if Aurabuy simply said they would be offering BLF members 5% off across the board. People are complaining because they were told they would be offered a “decent discount” but were instead offered a discount which most other retailers offer all the time anyway. If they hadn’t said there would be a decent discount offered no one would be complaining. But with what has happened people feel like they were going to get something and then Aurabuy went back on their promise. This is a completely different circumstance to the standard discount other retailers offer.
I am glad that Aurabuy is around as well.
It is good to have as many good and trusted sellers as possible. Shopping around becomes more easy and convenient.
I am happy when their representatives (Mia in this case) participate actively in the forum, communicating with members.
I must say that i appreciate the efforts of the company to get discounts for us. I believe they had all good intentions.
I am sorry to read all those miserable comments. Simply i do not feel it’s fair.

Actually I have ordered twice with Aurabuy before and all the items have arrived in around two weeks, which is quite good so far. I will order with them in the future as long as they provide good products, good price, and good service. I just dislike to see vendors trying to play tricks to gain reputation or advertised in inappropriate way. In fact what they need to do is back to basics, just keep on providing good service to customers and soon customers will return to them.
Just my personal feeling.
I was pretty sure she said a decent discount on the one light that you picked for this giveaway not on all their lights. Did she send you a discount code for more than 5% on the light you picked? There could be some miscommunication going on.
I got a Pm about the light I picked and it virtually said the same as what was posted here that only 5% would be taken off all lights.
Well then I understand. I would have thought that 10% would have been decent for individual lights especially considering that it was supposed to be a special discount.
Does AliExpress give 5% discounts to BLF too?
Personally I’m not overly concerned, if it was a good price I would have got it, if not, no big deal. I just think though they got a lot of people excited with the promotion thinking if they didn’t win one, they would still have the opportunity to get a good discount on the torch they chose, but were then let down. That’s the only thing that bugs me.
Well, I understand your stand of point 18sixfifty, If I received US$89.53 with 100% discount I would defend them to.
Although FT also offers 5% they are great from the beginning, have overall service at least 3 times better than any other chinese retailer, the never got themselves in situation that they must beg for forgiveness with the pompous giveaways and promises that they know from the start they can’t fulfil and then giving pitiful explanation like: factories are not feeling like giving discount!!! But the same factories were OK with giving US$240.58 worth flashlights for free!!!
There is also a fact that giving a promise which someone else needs to fulfill without consulting them in the first place is just pure nonsense…
