My own is a warm white so as soon as drivers arrive I can get you an answer for that pretty quickly.

I think I have the firmware dialed in now. Gonna try it on this last xhp70.2 light I have here to make sure it works with it. If so then I am calling it good and the firmware will be finished. The xhp35 I also want to try on at least one more light but I am not as worried about it, it is nearly perfect and much easier to dial in.

I hope to be able to ship the drivers tomorrow but it might be Saturday.

Not to be rude and please don't take it that way.

But, it's a Haikelite group buy therefore a Haikelite thread. I started the thread, I caught the heat from every issue known along with shipping, payment, solutions, criticism, ect. So as long as there is interest and it is my thread I will post or allow posts for Haikelite products and or any modifications that can help make our products better.

I guess me… i want 14k to 23k lumen light. Check pm.

I still have at least 1 35 high and there is a very slight chance I may have a 70.2 in the next few hours... I can say for sure in a couple of hours. The 35 high is definite.

Guys they will not show in stock on the stores website if you happen to be interested. If you are you can email me at hesaidshesaidsales@charter.net or send me a PM.

Ok, looks like this is the last one on my to do list until the mailman comes. This one is for Charles Lin and is another copy of my light. 80CRI 4000k emitters, 50% ramp and bypasses all around (I tried it without the driver bypass and it droped 3k lumens and the spring was silly hot when I opened it up FYI, don’t do that lol).

It is another ~22k light, just how the ball bounces. Still an amazing amount of light. I was letting my sister try the ramping to get a second opinion and she even was surprised when it just kept getting brighter (remember, she sees my lights all the time, it takes at least 15k lumens to even get he to look twice).

Now for the fun part of sorting all these out and getting them shipped back out.

Hello Texas_Ace. Would adding your driver by itself to a stock MT03 (I get 12298 lumens now) increase the lumen output?

I think you deserve a whole lot of THANK YOUS for what you are doing! Absolutely amazing!

(sorry to hijack the thread)

Having never even heard of this light until a few days ago, I really can’t say. Although a triple xhp70.2 light only doing 12k lumens is being held back by something, So I assume it would reach similar numbers to the mt09R if it uses the same LED’s.

Thanks for nice job, but I believed I asked for 100% ramp not 50% ramp. I want to able choose lumen out between 11k~22k not just either 11k or 22k!

Yep, sorry about that. Not sure why I thought yours was 50. I just got it reflashed with the 100 firmware and tested it for you.

A few notes on the MT09R, both modded and unmodded.

1: with the XHP35 version, I do NOT recommend bypassing the springs. With 30Q cells and the stock springs it pulls right around 8-9A which is basically perfect for max output. That said I personally would not recommend high drain cells. You only gain a few hundred lumens but it puts more stress on the LED’s, that said it should still work fine from my testing. GA cells drive the LED’s at almost a perfect 2.5A each.

2: Those that are doing your own XHP70.2 driver swaps, make sure you bypass the driver spring! It WILL collapse if you don’t. I can do this for you on the drivers from me for an extra $5, I forgot to add this option to the price list. Any wire ~22awg or higher will work. It is also worth a few thousand lumens.

3: Turbo in either light is only meant for short bursts. It gets VERY hot and uses a LOT of battery power. It just make no sense to use it long term.

4: I will try to get a picture later but the wiring for the drivers is fairly simple. Red LED wire you LED +, white LED wire to LED -.

The black wire from the switch goes to the switch GND pad (the one near the TA logo), the Red wire from the switch to the V+ switch pad and the Yellow wire connects to the SWLED pad. The blue wire gets the exposed wire snipped off and shoved down into the driver cavity.

If I think of anything else I will add them.

Ok, I think I have all the finished orders packed up and ready to ship out tomorrow. If you have any questions or issues let me know by morning and I can still get to the packages. If I missed anyone let me know.

Also, for anyone else wanting these mods done, I will be placing the next (and most likely last unless there is a lot of demand) LED order this weekend.

Anyone that has not seen your light modded yet, if you would send me a PM with a list of the LED’s you want to bump the message to the top, that would be GREAT. The combination of these messages and the GT messages is making it hard to keep track of them all (some of these are already 3 pages deep). I am going to just start building a shopping cart now of the order.

I am not rude, I think.
I think you are ignorant to the members of the group buy, to read all posts in this thread, which are not realted to the group buy.

I think driver development of drivers for this group buy is right here in this thread. And possible Lumen numbers with Modding the MT09R is correct too.

But I think modding flashlights which were not bought in this group buy but in your shop and telling stock numbers of your shop is not the correct place here.
Yes you are the thread starter, but its not your thread at all. Its the thread of all persons who bought a MT09R in this group buy, too.

Let me remind you of your words: Closed Official Haikelite MT09R *UPDATE Now including TA's Pricing for Emitter Upgrades* Closed - #1038 by NOT_Haikelite_USA_Of to post unnessesary things which are not related to the group buy in other threads.

So I suggest you, to make a new thread to support your shop for BLF-Members who are able (live in the USA) and willing to buy something. And that can be the place for TA to write about the progress of modding each individual flashlight bought in your shop, too.
And you can Invite all US-subscribers of this group buy thread to subsrcibe the new thread too.

Edit: I am no native english speaker, so I hope I found the correct words not to affront you. But I wantted to point this out to slow down the growing of this thread with unrelated posts.

Here is your post (Closed Official Haikelite MT09R *UPDATE Now including TA's Pricing for Emitter Upgrades* Closed - #1038 by NOT_Haikelite_USA_Of) quoted:

@Texas_Ace hm, so the sony vtc6 batteries that were sold with this light is a bad idea in the long run to use, how bad exactly ? i have some 10A Sanyo on its way, so those would be enough for the xhp35 version then instead of the sony ?

Has anyone noticed that for some odd reason people just love to try and tempt me into something that is completely unnecessary. Please note I have not in any manner caused this in any way...

Just saying lmao....

But seriously no I'm not starting 200 different threads for something that will be complete in another couple of weeks. After re-stock begins and we will all have a chance to see what I can bring you from Haikelite.

You have learned nothing. :person_facepalming:
It is not unneccessary and you do not need 200 different threads.
If you think so, why has this forum more than one thread?
You have to learn that different forums on BLF makes sense and topics of threads makes sense.

If we want to be correct, thats not the thread of Terry White as salesmen with the account HaikeliteUSA, its the Thread of the private person Terry White.

I give up in this case.
I think the reason of our different points of view in this case is a thing of different cultures and continents.

Hello Terry,

after our little differences now back to our common ground, flashlights:

Can you please make a small group buy for black 2S2P Battery-Tubes from the MT09R?
They would be great to mod a BLF Q8 with XHP50.2 Emitters.
I think there could be an amount of around 25 saled tubes. Possibly more, If we post the aviability of short 2S2P tubes in the main Group Buy Thread of the BLF Q8 or in the Q8-Modding-Thread.

Here you can see the thread for a MCPCB for BLF Q8 which can be used with XHP50.2 Emitters. There is an interest of 85 MCPCBs for 4040 and 5050-Emitters. So thats the base for my estimation of 25 Battery-Tubes:

Perhaps someone want to buy the 4S1P Tube to use XHP35 in the BLF Q8.

We need to know if its aviable and for which price.

Thanks.

All group buys for the Haikelite brand will be done so only by Dale or who ever he may choose.

The last 2 group buys I agreed to do when Dale asked me I have lost thousand of dollars because of those group buys.

The details would be hard to explain but the long and short of it is that the 09R group buy I personally sold almost 8000.00 US dollars in lights with no help at all from anyone. How much was my cut one might ask? Absolutely ZERO. Not only did I not make a penny from those sales but I also found what I believed to be at least 1 issue with the flashlight. I then contacted Texas Ace who we all know is extremely good at what he does and he confirmed that was indeed one of the 09R issues and also found several others including no working thermal control.

I asked him as a favor to me if he would mind taking a look at the lights and he agreed. I shipped him samples of both models all at my own cost and thanks to him a totally new driver design is now available that can for now in limited supply be purchased from him and his design is currently being tested by Haikelite for use in production models. Basically I saved any hope of the 09R being a great and great selling light in the future. Thanks to TA of course as he did the actual work an design. But, no one from the company was doing anything.

Once again not only did I not earn a single penny for that and lost money because TA had to have samples and parts for the basic driver design.

Then the SC26 group buy. I was told in the beginning I could run that group but as long as I wanted to and Haikelite set the group but price and allowed all sales transactions to go through my company. Almost 4 weeks ago I was contacted and told I was only going to be allowed 100 units total for that groupbut. I almost had that many already sold so I had to stop it far earlier than planned. I never got samples for the SC26 as I was promised and I so in turn promised the members that they would have a chance to see samples evaluated by not only me but at least a couple of other members. I was also told what my final cost per unit would be for the SC26 and after you add in shipping to each light sold if I am lucky I could possibly make $1.50 per unit from that group but. And if I am wrong about the estimated shipping charge I may not make anything at all. Not to mention 3 weeks have passed and I still do not have the shipment for the group buy order along with several other units I ordered for store stock.

I want members to know it is not their fault that I told Haikelite I would never agree to another group buy. The 2 that I agreed to do for Haikelite not only did I not make any money but I have lost huge amounts.

I still do not even have my samples for the item you are asking me test start a group but for.

I'm very sorry but I have no real choice but to decline.

For the record all of the lights I have modded so far are “from the GB” in the sense they suffer from all the same issues and have all the same parts, drivers, LED’s ect.

People have asked me for numbers on them, so I have been giving them.

This is simply the best thread for those and I have had others tell me they enjoy reading the updates. So I will keep posting them, although they will slow down now since the flow of lights has slowed.

With the xhp35 light, I would just prefer to use something else myself. You only gain a few hundred lumens but the light will get much hotter and drain the batteries quicker.

It does put more stress on the LED’s but in my testing nothing close enough to cause damage in the short term. So the ~4-5 mins you have before the voltage drops to the point the LED’s are back down to ~2.5A each is not going to be a big deal. This is just a suggestion, not a retirement.
