Closed Official Haikelite MT09R *UPDATE Now including TA's Pricing for Emitter Upgrades* Closed

ok thanks thats good to know then

OK, I have read something from Terry, that he offered to send sold Flashlights from his shop directly to you to mod it for the buyers. Thats why I wrote about your modding-posts. But if its not the case and or there are only some few, thats no problem.
And I thought If he make this offers in another shop thead, you will be following to this thread for the shop bought flashlights.

Its a good work from you and Terry that finaly we will hopefully get real TA-Drivers for our flashlighs, as claimed at the beginning or in official statements depending this MT09R.

Thanks, a honest ā€œNoā€ is an answer.

Now I hope, I get a respond from Dale, if we can buy it and post updates in the Q8 MCPCB-Thread.
I was hoping you have a better contact to Dale than me.

My new friend that is the point I was trying to make.

I have much better contact than anyone in this forum. I am the only authorized retailer for the United States and Canada. When I need answers I call him.

Right now there are no responses. I wish I could say why that is but I honestly have no idea.

All these negative waves…

On a happier note, I needed (more) button-top 30Qs for my Q8s, GB only has flat-tops, don’t wanna do solder-blobs, so reordered 2 more 4-pax from FT.

Shipping was all grayed-out except for ā€œUPS Large Bulk Packagesā€ or something, to the tune of almost 40bux just for shipping. Eep!

Recalled I had the same issue before, so used the BLF discount (5%) and went ahead all the way to checkout, and it was only a 1.67 ā€œupgradeā€ via USPS. Done!

So if the 35s and/or 70s need button-tops, you know where to get ’em!

If you ā€œneedā€ any VTCs or whatnot, never mind.

I also need some 30Q, I usually order from banggood with m4xmd4 code, might try fasttech this time.

Ok, I think I have all the orders shipped out today, including the bare drivers. I did find a few springs so I installed them on the drivers.

When people start getting these lights and drivers it would be great if you could test them as much and as hard as you can. I want to find any bugs before HL does.

You can find the manual here, NarsilM CS v12 Q8 2017-12-03.pdf - Google Drive

So far I have not had any issues at all with the final drivers or firmware but always best to get as wide a sample base as possible.

They are supposed to get the samples next week and start the main production the week after so there is still time to change things if it is needed.

Magnets on the batteries will work without big risks for flat top batteries.

Lexel wrote in the TLF, that he know from a trustfull person, that Haikelite is fighting against insolvency and has to lower the costs of the flashlights.

Perhaps, that could be a reason.
I hope Dale will get all in the right direction, to continue the business with profit.

You guys talk pretty rough over there about me

Quote from Wieselflinkpro: ↑
Terry continues to diligently advertise his shop in the BLF and spits on Group Buy.
Maybe I can do it with my last post, also to the group of trouble makers to be allowed to: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/49135/1903

It remains. It's a Haikelite thread and it's his thread. Therefore, he is king in the thread: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/49135/1923"

Not that any of this is any concern or business of your at all. But I advertise what lights I currently still have left in stock in only this thread for a reason.

I need to sell off a much of my current Haikelite stock as possible prior to the 17th of this month after which I will be out of town for about 3 weeks and my company will be completely closed for that time. When I return it will be time to place orders for new products coming out that I am not yet allowed to release the details about. I can get more done chasing this thread and the SC26 thread verses chasing 15 different threads for only a couple of dozen items left.

I am not the king of anything at all but I will say this or rather ask this. Do I come to your forum and jump in your threads and pretty much demand what should or should not be happening? Actually I don't speak of you at all as I have no clue who you are or why what I do is such a problem for you.

There is 65 pages of information here and in that 65 pages I would bet that you will find the answer to pretty much any question you may have. If not then simply ask.

We have threads in this forum that are much longer than this one and subjects of all sorts come up. Fact is that the group buy is complete and really the only reason we continued to use this thread is it would be simpler for people to find information about the light that was part of this group buy but, fact is the group buy has been completed for months now.

All issues or problems have been addressed and taken care of. The rest is up to Haikelite in completing mass production of the driver.

I asked people during the group buy to try to stick to only facts that could be proven and shown not just something someone said or what the math come out to but, that was during the group buy.

All that is done now and what we have done (if you had taken time to read) is instead of making 4 or 5 different threads all for the same thing which is order drivers from the designer prior to mass production and save both he and I some money in shipping costs by ordering direct if you happen to want one then I can ship 5 or 6 all to the same place verses shipping all of them to the individuals then they ship all of the to TA and so on.

I have apologized twice for allowing the pressures of this group buy and the issues that came with push me to the point that I began lashing out. I now however see that I am what appears to be some type of amusement for you all over in your forum.

Do you see that happening here? No you don't. I would very much appreciate that same respect in return.

Now is there something specific that you wold like to ask that either myself or anyone else here may have an answer to?

MT09R XHP35 showed up yesterday. Works great and I actually like the CW. I used the 30Q BT. Thanks HL and Terry. Very satisfied (again)!!

As I wrote above, I think our different points of view are caused in different cultures and countries. I am disapointed that we will not get an agrement about it.
In the german forum, we are talking a bit sarcastic about you and adress the reason about our different points of view in different cultures. We can not understand your behaviour with our german thinking.
There are people outside the german forum that agree to my point of view too.

You point out rules for this thread and later change the rules. With this you dont follow your own rules. Thats the fact why I am telling you the King of this thread.

And you have to know that some thing is lost in translation. Automatic translation is not verry good and my translation is not the best too.
So you can not know how ā€œroughā€ we are talking about you.

For me the group buy is not over at all. We have to wait for the charger and driver. And we dont know if something of it was already shipped and when the rest will be shipped. For my flashlight dale said all is shipped before CNY, but my flashlight was shipped in the middle of march after I have asked him about it.

I hope the best for the rest of the group buy, but I can not be shure about it.

The group buy is over, if all people have their charger and driver and if they got what they wanted to get or paied for. And if there are no new problems with the drivers or chargers.
I would like to see this thread sleeping, til the first chargers and drivers arrive to the most people.

The order process is over and the shipping of the main part, the flashlight, thats true.

Another issue is, that the NW flashlights are CW flashlights. I would think its a 2B tint or similar.
.
.
With the long thread now its not the problem, that I dont know the actual solutions and have to search for it. The problem is, that I have to read all the posts if I want to know about the future solutions/issues/progress of this GB.
.
.
And for your shop and your planed vacancy, we know that you have to reach as much people as you can to sell many flashlights. And thats why you do not start a new thread to push your business in it, because in this thread are more people which are reading it and you dont know how many US subscribers you will get in the new thread. And therefore you break your own rules.

I read through the German MT09R thread(s) with google translator and it was quite an interesting read. Not to be rude, but I couldn’t help laughing out loud the whole way reading the many Terry references. I applaud you for keeping your cool after reading it.

They do have a lot of good information there worth reading. It sounds like HL may have some financial difficulties and maybe even internal leadership issues. I really hope they can make it through. I was hoping HL and HL USA would be a flashlight brand worth supporting and I appreciated Terry’s effort in this. Now it seems to fall on Dale to prove to us whether the brand is worth our continued support. With TA onboard and seeing what magic he has done with the MT09R in the recent few days, Haikelite’s future would be limitless if they decide to continue using TA for their future products.

I have 5 HL lights that are being sent to TA or modding and I’m excited to say the least.

I posted some URL's and page or 2 back just for button tops. Mtn has both 30q's and the Sony's also these guys have limited stock of button top 30q's.

Mtn already knows I am referring all of my customers to then for cells. It will be weeks before I can get 18650's last I was told a couple of weeks ago the Haikelite warehouse was out so waiting for them to restock...

https://liionwholesale.com/products/samsung-inr18650-30q-battery-15a-3000mah-button-top-wholesale-discount-genuine-and-tested?utm_source=adroll&utm_medium=retargeting&utm_campaign=fbdynamic&variant=35782220241

I really hope it all goes well also. And as of right now I have no clue where things stand. I'm waiting for answers as well.

Brother... lighten up a lot lol... they are not my rules... it was just during the group but I really needed things to be a clear as possible.

Keep in mind I was running 2 group buys at that time as well as the Haikelite Facebook community and having to also run my own business.

Once the group buy was complete then there was plenty of time for debate, ideas, and so on. E except for TA and I. We had to find a solution for issues that we were not aware of until we actually had production lights in hand. And thanks to TA we got it done.

I'm not trying to be hard I'm honestly trying to understand what exactly is wrong at this moment.

Were you part of the group buy?

If so and you are having issues or even if you are not having issues with the light you purchased Haikelite has stated that anyone that purchased a light from the group buy they will all be allowed to request the newly designed driver once it is in production.

All you would have to do is email them and let them know.

Other than that I am not aware of any other issues that need to be addressed. If I'm wrong please point it out so I can get someone working on it.

Okay also last I was told 2 weeks ago the chargers were shipping. I'm not in China so I can't say for a fact that they have shipped. I can only relay the message passed onto me. I actually think Dale even posted that himself. But again all of that was weeks ago.

I can't stop people from posting and I have no intentions of trying. You are referring to something posted probably 2 months ago when it really needed to stay as close to group but posts as possible so if someone posted about an issue we could get on it right away.

All of that is complete. Shipping should have already started.

Lol I give up... I'm not really sure what else it is I can do.

Slowing the thread if you want updated information is the last thing to do. If posting posting stops then the thread will drop really fast and in about a week you would have to look for the thread and locate it then only to find nothing was posted because you're asking for excess posting to stop.

I will help you if I can but I can't stop an entire thread. There are dozens of members communicating with TA about the driver as well as feedback from those people when their light gets back to them.

And I absolutely will post my sale items here. These 2 group buys have lost me close to 8000 dollars.

I suppose we are just going to agree to disagree.

Now back to work...

The answer seems to be that there are two versions of the charger/power bank. One for 2S2P (MT09R 70, MT03, MT07), and one for 4S1P (MT09R 35, MT07S): https://detail.1688.com/offer/566815826250.html?spm=a261b.8768355.pic-list.9.30212602HbORz9

The 8.4V battery pack version corresponds to the two- and two-string tubular body such as our MT03 and MT09R 70.2. Red and blue alternating seconds flash below 8.3V when charging, green light above 8.3V. Battery pack power below 5.5V Red light flashes for low seconds. 5.2V goes to sleep.

The 14.8V battery pack version corresponds to the 4-string structure of the company MT07S / MT07 / MT09R 35hi. The red and blue lights below 16.5V flash alternately seconds, and the green light above 16.5V is always on. The battery pack power is below 11V. The red light flashes for seconds indicating a low battery and 10.4V goes to sleep.

This is one of the biggest reasons I've been asking for samples of the charger and the extended tube for something like 5 or 6 weeks now...

Even during conversations I am not totally sure how exactly that is supposed to work as described.

Granted the language barrier makes it hard for Dale to always totally understand what I am talking about.

You guys honestly know as much about the unit itself as I do...

Quick detour off topic on the MT07. Not knowing how the final charger will be designed, the original MT07 BUFFALO group buy was offered in both the 2S2P and 4S1P configuration. For those who own both MT07 and MT09R I wanted to comment on this for possible safety reasons until the design is better described if the intent is to use the same charger on both lights.

I am pretty sure that the charger will work off both voltages the way I read it, so this should not be a problem. It would make sense, they are using some form of buck/boost converter, a bit more or less voltage is just a matter of component selection.

That said this is not official, just a gut feeling knowing how these things work.
