Is everybody using Tracking for the extra $2.50?

Do we need it?

Hmm… thankfully PP has our back.

Thought it might be a bit faster and I like being able to track an item…when tracking works.

My registration process went fine, showed me logged in and all went smoothly but then PayPal wanted to hang up. I cancelled at PayPal and returned to the site, then tried again and it went through. Logged out, checked my email, logged back in and the order showed as successful. Greatly relieved.

I do believe I read on his site that the group buy would be held till all items were on the dock, so with the engraving it would appear he is going to hold everything then ship at the same time?

I just went into cnqualitygoods in another browser by doing a search. From there I searched flashlights, then cnq and got a list, amongst which is the BLF group buy! Clicked it, chose the CNQ3 with claw, put my son’s name on it, created a new account in my family’s behalf and went to PayPal. All went without a hitch, except for the fact that anyone searching the flashlights on their site can do the same! So much for being special…

There is no need to pay $2.50 for tracking.

Paypal requires proof of delivery from the seller for claims that an item did not arrive.

I will be ordering 2 i want a name on one and nothing on the other? What should i put in the postscript box? I don’t want it to come with nothing printed on it if you get my meaning.
Two separate orders?

If anyone in the UK knows where to find those batteries it’ll be Chloe. I caved and ordered one as well, couldn’t help myself. Had my 6 year olds name put on it in order to appease the wife.

fatboy, make your note of the name on one, no engraving on the other. Then email or pm Rick to ensure he see’s your postscript notes. Should work out fine.

On their home page there’s a link to engraving. One of the samples they show is engraved “Dong Light” I think a light saying “Nothing” would be much preferred!!!

I wasn’t sure about that myself so I put the following in the postscript box on my order:

Please engrave the following on my S3 light: JohnnyMac

I hope that is clear enough. It'd be pretty funny (*frustrating*) if it arrived with the entire "Please engrave the following on my S3 light: JohnnyMac" engraved on it.

Teeny tiny letters saying the entire quote. LOL

Here you go: http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/255008/Emmerich-NiMH-12-AAA-Size-Cell-Tagged-Rechargeable-12V-330mAh
Somewhat higher mAh compared to the supplied 1/2 AAA with the S3, which will give it a runtime of about 2h on high. However it has got solder tabs attached, I hope you can remove them safely. Or else you could try contacting ric to buy some extra batteries with your order?

I was looking for a smaller version of the S1, thus the S3 was almost exactly what I wanted. But as some others have pointed out, It’s only a little bit smaller and has just a fraction of the S1’s battery capacity/power/… I really hoped they managed to shorten it by another cm or so, which would make it a great little light. Too bad they only shortened the battery part, and not the spring/optics/…

i’m thinking to request this logo:
“SUREFIRE exclusive edition” …and then i will sell it on CPF marketplace at $400 8) :money_mouth_face:

Well, didn’t matter as the radio button on order site was fixed to $2.50 for tracking.
Couldn’t change it. FORCED TO PAY…oh well it’s done.
Thank you the for all your efforts.

Ordered S2, thanks.

Ordered, Paid, Thanks

Can anyone tell me what I can expect in terms of lumen output and runtime on the S2 with an XP-G2 NW? Is this light fairly well regulated?

The standard CQG S2 is around 120 lumens at 600mA. IIRC, I read somewhere the XP-G2 would add another 20% to the light output with little difference in current.
So I would say somewhat below 150lm and a runtime of 1.5h (on high setting). No idea if this sounds reasonable for a 2x AAA flashlight.

Yes that would be perfectly reasonable if it kept its brightness and didn’t just slope off quickly.

Did you take into account that it would be an XP-G2 Neutral White? I guess that might be about –7% in terms of output. Wonder if anyone has done runtime tests on these? I can’t seem to find any of that info.

According to Ric these are 'ugraded' versions (no-one has it yet), so we will not really know such things until someone tests them out. (The old version is said to have a quite bad clicky, hope this is also improved).

and for only $18!! Budget may be a bad choice of wording for this forum, we should be called misers or Scrooges or something. lol

Would YOU build this light and then sell it for less than a $20 bill?
