You’re more than welcome to join in again though :slightly_smiling_face:

Bort is in! :blush:

So hard to choose a colour, though probably not orange since the 18650 holders i use (repurposed match holders) are orange so differentiation is a good idea.

Maybe red, thats always a solid colour.

@spicy3d
Have your battery holders (this ones Battery Storage Boxes | Spicy 3D Prints ) a little hole in the bottom?

That way you can turn a holder sideways and test all batteries with a multimeter without taking every battery out and in again.

That is a good idea! The bottom of the battery boxes is presently solid (no hole).
At present, the batteries only stay in the boxes by gravity and will probably fall out if placed on the side. For the multimeter testing feature, I think I would need to design in a retention mechanism to keep the batteries in place while the battery box is on its side.

I have been thinking about adding a feature that holds the batteries in place even when the battery box is upside down. I’m not sure yet what would the best retention mechanism would be though.

You could also put a groove down the middle for battery placement for testing.

well, the layers are in the wrong orientation for a vertical spring.
This design (not from me) is a little springy circularly

or the spring design from a holder

Interesting.
I have been meaning to look into 21700 to 26650 adapters but never got around to it yet.

Who can say no to such a nice GAW?
