can anybody help out with some beamshot comparisons of xhp35 hi 4000k vs. xhp35 hi 5000k please? ideally from the particular model of noctigon k1, but any others are also much appreciated
many thanks in advance for every useful advice!
I used to have an XHP35 HI 4000k K1. I love 4000k, but that one looked much warmer… more like 3000k. I got a 5000k also just thinking I’d keep the one I liked more and I feel like it’s more like 4500-4700k, I like the tint a lot. Don’t have a comparison unfortunately. You cannot go wrong with either, both had nice tints, but you also get a bit more throw and output with 5000k.
5000K should have a close to neutral (maybe slightly yellow) hotspot. 4000K will be noticeably yellow. I’d go for the 5000K.
many thanks, guys! very helpful input :+1:
but, oh stupid me, i’m still undecided and hoping further for some visual impressions
One of the nicest beams I have in all my lights is the XHP 35 HD 5000K in a Haikelite SC26 with DC FIX. I don’t know how to describe it but when you see it you know it.
unfortunately i can’t see it, pennzy, that’s my darned problem
but many thanks for your valued estimation!
Sorry, I will try tonight but it will only be a cell phone picture.
Here goes nothing. XHP 35HD 5000K
many thanks for your efforts, pennzy, that looks really nice
I bought this ^ 4000k xhp35 K1, and it is my favorite thrower by far. It does seem warmer then 4000k, but i have never had a xhp35 light before this to know if its normal. I do know its warmer then my 4000k sst20 thrower. I also know that it is amazing. It throws great and has a nice warm beam. one light i would never sell honestly.
I can post a picture later of the beam vs the osram k1 if that helps
sounds very interesting to me, so if it doesn’t cause too much trouble, that would be great
many thanks in advance!
I apologize I did not have the opportunity last night, and the rain was terrible in my area. I will try again tonight.
no needs to apologize, artiet, take your time!
i’m glad whenever it will be done
So I have the K1 xhp35 4000k and K1 Osram W2.2 (CULPM1) like stated before. I also used my KR4 xpl-hi 5000k for a comparison just so you could see it.
The first two images are pointed at my deck (porch), which i realize now is painted brown and effected the look of all of the lights, but made the 4000k look much more warm. The best comparison is the last picture with them pointed down the street.
XHP35 4000k vs CULPM1 W2.2
XPL-Hi 5000k vs XHP35 4000k
XHP35 4000k vs CULPM1 (W2.2)
Longer range, showing the 4000k can still throw compared to the w2.2, even though i didnt have the xhp35 pointed at the same spot, because the hotspot is still stronger then my picture shows.
Farthest trees are @ approximately 320 meters
Top picture: W2.2 CULPM1 , Bottom Picture: xhp35 4000k.
convincing comparison, artiet, much obliged :+1:
that helps really a lot!
