Convoy flashlight store website. Genuine or fake?

While browsing the web, I discovered a convoy flashlight store website called https://convoylight.com/ . The prices seem quite cheap compared to aliexpress. I was told Simon only uses aliexpress to sell but this may be changed. I am aware of many aliexpress stores claiming to be Convoy, so Id like to know if this site is operated by @Simon_Mao or to raise awareness that its a clone and get it shut down. Thanks fir reading.

Yes. It is official.

Also, the only official AliExpress store is convoy.aliexpress.com.

I can also confirm that it is official. I’ve bought from there and Simon’s customer service is great.

Real. Here’s confirmation in Convoy’s BLF thread.

Prices and shipping are both better than Aliexpress because there’s no middleman taking a cut.

Yeah, if a Convoy product is on Simon’s new website, I buy from there.
I like his new website a lot more than AliExpress, but I don’t know if every product has made its way to his new site yet. :+1:

I noticed hosts were missing but hopefully added soon.

Hosts for some lights are already there, inside the regular listing for the light.

If you have a particular light that’s not available as a host yet, you can ask Simon in his BLF thread, and he usually adds the option within a day or two.

I asked him to add S2+ host options a while ago.

You have to click on the regular links and the “host version” will be an option in the listing. If it’s not there - post on Simon’s thread that @zak.wilson listed above, tag him, or email him at admin@convoylight.com. He’ll usually respond in less than a day (usually just a few hours).

Thanks for the tip on how/where to find the hosts on his website @ebastler and @darosk ; I totally missed that!

@HunterJackson: Yesterday I recieved the first order I placed on Simon’s own website and I only can say possitive things about it: prices are very good, (free) shipping was very fast (5 days from China to The Netherlands) and no issues whatsoever with customs.

I will order again pretty soon, because certainly for individual parts (for building flashlights) the prices are way more interesting compared to the Aliexpress store!
