Thanks for the video review!
I almost never watch video reviews, but I’m really interesting in this headlight, or rather, I’m interesting in the upcoming XHP70.3 HI version.
The video is excellent.
I think the video improves at about the 10 minute mark when the narration begins, but if you skip over the first 10 minutes, you do miss out on a little.
Now I know how great the H3 XHP50.3 HI is, and it does look very impressive.
I hope the upcoming XHP70.3 HI version is even better for my needs, and I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. :+1:

Starting around the 11 minute mark it’s clear that if that light was on your head you would need safety glasses. There are so many moths and other bugs dive bombing the light it would be painful and miserable to wear it. I suspect 3000k would be better. I know you have both the armytek wr and wg. If you got a chance on a particularly buggy night could you attempt to see whether the green or the red is better at not attracting bugs? Whether you film or not isn’t really important but it might make a good video. Thank you

Hello sir. Even 2700k still attracts insects sir. I don’t know whether green can help in this situation or not. Using red for walking is bad while green is better for walking. If hundreds of bugs come, you need to put your headlamp down to your waist. Just wear it like a belt. Very bad experience sir. I always wear protective glasses to prevent insects sir. Thanks for watching and your suggestions sir . Please subscribe .

As for walking with red, I don’t like it either. Red does a good job of NOT attracting many insects. I plan on getting the wizard WG warm to try with bugs. Taking the headlight off is not always a good option.

My trail running friend put the headband down to her waist to avoid insects getting into her eyes. I live in Thailand. It’s hot here and some nights there are a lot of bugs. Red or a bit orange work well sir. I have seen people here who raise cattles use red or a bit orange light bulb to repell mosquitos for their animals. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience sir :pray:.

Any ideas about H3 range?

Recwntly I gifted a Convoy H3 XHP50.3 Hi 5000K High CRI.
The best thing I did was to add DC-fix. It made it as good as my Skillhunt H300 (minus tint). It even threw further and stepped down less!

The only big downside is the headband.

I’m searching for max throw actually so this won’t help

Not much. It’s not built for throw.

Yeah, that’s quite obvious. But still I may be wanting to squeeze as much throw as possible from it. And that’s my question.

Ya, not much is my answer.
