if you set a ramping level ,it can be saved,
tap the button 8 times ,it can be reset
Serlite: Plotthound:I love my Convoy’s, and love me some ramping but that’s kind of complicated , at least not intuitive , for me. I can’t remember what I had for breakfast.
It is a creative way emulate the functionality of an e-switch with a mechanical switch, but counting blinks for mode selection is a bit demanding.
There’s only so much mental load I want to devote to operating a flashlight…One shouldn’t go mental over non-intuitive interfaces, just avoid them. I prefer simplicity: single or three modes e.g. 20-50-100% at most: a KISS driver “Keep It Simple Simon” where simon is not Stupid of course!
soon,i will launch another driver for SST40
very simple mode 0.1–3–30–100
max current 5200mA
97% efficiency, temperature is always controlled at 55 degrees Celsius

i add an option for S11 host
S11 host with adpater
if you want to buy the adpater seperately ,here is the link

Just wow. Looks like a great driver for Osram KW CSLNM1.TG with a simple res mod dropping the current to 4.5-5A.

Will this driver have low voltage protection?
Can you make it single mode?

Is the extra retaining ring just thinner because of the adapter or what is the purpose?

Will this 22mm retainer also work in the L2? Same thread pitch?
Thanks.
clientequator:hello Mr Simon Mao, I see an interesting silver S2+ for 21700 size in your photo! Is this for sale yet?
this is an sample,
S2+ 21700 is in production
Could the slightly larger size of the 21700 S2+ allow for using a larger retaining ring that fits around the double sided driver like the C8+ has? Would make it a lot easier to mod and look nicer than soldering to the pill.

I’m waiting to see a frontal nude of the S21A :person_facepalming:
Lightbringer:I’m guessing it’s people who have phones with usb-c, who are pushing usb-c, no?
All my phones (a few years old at minimum, as I’m not a Phone Guy) all have micro-usb, and I don’t have anything — literally anything — that uses usb-c.
But everything else I have, from small chargers, wireless earpieces/headphones, literally everything else that needs charging, all take micro-usb. Even older usb hard drives still take micro-usb, except for newer ones that are usb-3.
I still have a few items that take mini-usb, but those are few, yet I still need the cables for them, too.
So all those “kits” that include a cell and cheapie charger… are those chargers now going to be usb-c instead?
My point being, it’s not just phones that are out there that need charging. You have to consider all the other doodads people have, and what connectors they use.
Micro usb is really a thing of the past, you can buy usb micro to usb c adapter for about a buck if you purchase in multiples on amazon
I am surprised no one mentioned HDMI. :disappointed:
What about something more robust like PoE, that way you can charge you flashlight and post beamshots on the net.

of course if has low voltage protection .
if many buyers need single mode, i can ask manufacturer to produce this kind of driver ,too

Is the S11 running with a boost driver or is it a 3v XHP50.2? How difficult would it be to fit a XHP70.2 if its a boost driver?
The S2+ 21700, when is that released and will that come with the xhp50.2 option?
Boost driver.
If the opening is large enough, you could fit an XHP70.2.
Otherwise, you would have to file it a bit.
It would be nice though. Higher efficiency at the expense of throe.

Simon,
Is there a remote possibility to order 5A bin for XPL-HI S2+ Desert Tan?
