Hi guys, not sure how many of you have receive the SFT-40 5700K from Simon. I have the SFT-40 5700K from Simon in a M21A and in a Pioneman K35.
The tint is very ugly imo with lotsa green from low to high. Whereas the SFT-40 6500K from Simon has only very little green at low.
The T4 has a regular S2+ reflector iirc, so any TIR lens for the S2+ should fit
I will list all available options on the page
And Simon, regarding stainless steel being too heavy for an S2 host, I dont think this matters that much. These flashlights are more of luxury, collector’s items than just some practical light to carry in a pocket. I believe copper is heavier than steel too so I wouldn’t mind that.
But I know that availability, machinery tooling etc can be an issue with varying materials so its entirely up to you. I would 10/10 get myself one :+1:There are bigger lights made out of SS out there, such as the Acebeam E70 for example… its a xhp70.2 21700 cell flashlight with a special SS edition.
People won’t carry that in their pockets but its a beautiful item to have in the house : )
I have plans to make some stainless steel S2, I might make it thinner than the regular S2 to make it lighter.
Simon - When do you expect to have the S21D available for sale again?
On sale now,AliExpress is reviewing the link, it may take a few hours
Simon Mao: CollectEverything:Simon, will you be offering a 5700k SFT40 emitter in the future? I would really like to buy an M21F with a 5700k SFT40.
only SFT40 5700K
what about KW CULPM1.TG ,it’s 5500kThe color is better but I’m worried it might run hotter and sustain lower brightness levels. If the 5700k SFT40 is too difficult to acquire, what about the XHP35.2 Hi in 5000k or 5700k?
Thanks for replying!
XHP35.2 HI ,uneven light spot
Simon Mao: Tatteredmidnight: Simon Mao:I’m ready to use FET 12A driver for S21D
I’m not sure I know how I feel about the increased use of FET drivers at Convoy. One of the things that drew me to this brand was the unusually excellent regulation that most budget light manufacturers can’t match.
The S21D already got quite warm at with the 8A driver, I fear this may be exasperated at 12A. Will the lower modes still have the same excellent efficiency and regulation as the buck driver? Will the 8A buck driver still be an option in these lights moving forward.
There has been quite a few updates about FET drivers in the pipeline, does this signal a new philosophy/direction for the brand, or are we just seeing more options emerge?
Great news about the additional TIR lens options, I am already using the Sofirn optic and find it gives a more useful and balanced beam.
It’s not a change, it’s just one more option.
Great news, thanks for the clarification!
On a tangentially related note, would the new S21A clip fit the S21D?
Not very suitable, the width of the slot is a bit narrow
When is 519A 2700k available?
I got a reply, probably on the 15th of this month
Hi Simon, do any of your TIR lens fit in Convoy T4 or T3? Thanks
suitable for T4, not for T3

I placed an order for 2 x S21D and a handful of other items. I sent you a message, just now, through AE about the TIR lenses and the new driver, as I’d like to get one of the S21D with the new driver and would like to order the new optics. I don’t mind if you hold my order until they are ready.
Hi Simon, I see you’ve re-released M21A UV with its excellent driver. Have you made any progress adapting this driver to S12 UV? Alternatively, perhaps one of your existing 12V drivers and a 3S MCPCB would be suitable? I love the light, but the regulation with the linear driver is poor due to the high VF of the UV LED’s. My testing is below. I find myself changing the battery when it’s still more than half full to still get excellent brightness.
Simon Mao:Ok, I’m thinking about producing a batch of copper S2+ and copper T3
Seriously Simon, you could add brass, titanium and even stainless steel in this S2+ run. Both smooth and knurled designs. They would sell real quick.
I would probably get one of each haha (in case the folk in here dont get them all in 32 seconds again of course)
The copper S2+ hosts are available again. I got a smooth one this time.
Better hurry!
Better hurry!
Thank u my man, had no idea.
Got one of each, now i just need that stainless steel goodness and im done for S2’s : )
Is the rumour about a new warm white thrower LED true?
Is the rumour about a new warm white thrower LED true?
Yes : https://redd.it/v0vs3o
The LED below is from a factory in China, and the sample test has the same long-range capability as the KW CSLNM1.TG I plan to produce a batch of 4000K and 2700K to meet the needs of some hunters.

Awesome! Looks like only the textured ones are left, for now.
Simon must’ve found another drawer of them somewhere.
