Sorry, I’m not good at removing dome lenses.
Buck drivers and stonewash ti S2+ and Ti 18350 tube are all production.
Excellent, thank you!
Great to hear! May I ask how long estimated until they are available?
I’m really happy to see these XHP emitters being offered in high CRI. Thanks Simon!
You have chosen…wisely! Enjoy.
While we are on the subject of GT FC40, why not Convoy 3x21 with that 12v emitter? Three cells, 12 volts sounds like a match made in heaven!
no suitable MCPCB currently
GT-FC40 is the ONLY non-Nichia LED on market that has Nichia-class color rendering IMHO. I call it a Nichia imitator. You’ll love it.
In pic below, the 2 beamshots on left side: one is Nichia 219b, the other is GT-FC40 4500k from Simon, in M21B. I had a hard time telling them apart at first.
Top left is 219b.
The 4500k FC40 I got looks like crap, so there’s some tint lottery in effect.
Review of the S21E with XHP50.3 HI R9050 5000k is now up:
I don’t think there’s any signing up.
Just follow the link and purchase.
Hi Simon, are the threads in the S21A: “ACME” which are 29 degrees included or “ISO Metric trapezoidal” which are 30 degrees included?
And is the pitch 1.5mm or 1/16"? Could you provide the thread specifications?
I would presume it is ACME with 1.5mm pitch.
I believe all newer Convoys are square cut threads. My S21A, S2+ and M21B are all square cut. Older S2+ were trapezoidal threads.
The older s2+ had a truncated triangular thread, not trapezoidal. The S21A has a trapezoidal thread, it is not a square thread.
According to this review the S21A has square threads. To my untrained eye the threads also appear to be square on mine.
