I’m also waiting to hear more about the S2+ 21700 (Simon said it’s called the S21A, no idea what the A is for, maybe he thinks it sounds cooler with a random letter after it…) Seems like a better triple host than the normal S2+ unless the inner diameter is too big for current MCPCBS and optics…

Will other M21A colors be available?

As usual from me, I would love Clear anodized M21A - for me, this color feels really professional, and if someone use it a little harder, scratches show up far less, than on the black one. /I personally don’t have scratches on my Clear anodized hosts, as I love them much/

Another question for Simon: do you plan to make S2+ 21700 host with Carclo 10507 (10511) compatible MCPCB and flashlight head with slightly bigger exterior size with extra fins?

In the future i will launch lens version flashlight
it still needs some time

Simon so this new M21A obviously a thrower, high power 21700 battery capable, but your description says 20mm driver. Currently I don’t see a 20mm high power driver that you sell only 17mm and 22mm ? maybe you should make it capable to accept a 22mm driver. Also I don’t see a 17mm to 20mm adapter. When you make it a complete light what are you planing to put in it ?

When are we likely to see the M21a full version with driver and LED? I can see myself acquiring a few of these as I have lots of 21700’s.

I really hope the S2+ 21700 has a reverse clicky switch. The M21A forward clicky switch is almost a deal breaker to me, so it’s just standing in my cart at the moment. Any suggestions/links to a reverse clicky mod will be appreciated. I already have a led4power.com driver and lighted switch combo lined up for these hosts. Ugh….

EDIT: The 20mm driver bay is not the issue, Kaidomain sells adapters and I’m sure Simon will sell them in the future. But that forward clicky switch design…… Maybe it has something to do with the current rating of the reverse clicky switches, but this is BLF. In many cases reverse clicky switches handle more than 10A. That is overkill for white flats, SST-40 and other dedomed emitter thrower mods. And I suspect this host will be used mainly for compact thrower mods. The forward clicky in the S11 makes sense to me, But in a 21700 C8+, not so much.

I originally thought that BLFer likes the forward switch. It seems that my understanding is wrong. In the future, I will install the reverse switch by default.

I’m putting an Omten 1217 in my S11 (need to make a shelf but that’s okay); I’ll let everyone know how it goes, but I know you’ve said you’re already doing a reverse S11

Is there going to be a 21700 version of the S3? Always felt that was a far more refined design than the S2 and S2+

Edit: Or a 21700 version of the M2, which would essentially be the same thing with better cooling.

It’s not hard, just… different.

I EDCed a WK50 for quite some time. Only a FC tailswitch (no sideswitch), something like 4 modes, and it just took a little getting used to. You learn to half-press when first starting it up, then clicking fully when you’re in the mode you want. From there, you can just leave it and be happy with a FC momentary switch, or as I’d usually do, reset it back to low(est) when finished.

If I had the light on and wanted to change modes, it was no big deal (after getting used to it) to turn it off and half-press to the desired mode, then click fully. Then you can half-press yourself silly in the same mode without having to make even a single click.

With RC switches, quick 2-3sec blasts of light are a pain in the ass to fully click on then fully click off each time, vs just a quick half-press then letting go as needed. And no annoying castanet sounds each’n’every time.

Most people are simply used to RC switches, which is why they’re the default. And UIs grew up around them.

If we had tentacles instead of arms’n’legs, do you think car interiors would look the way they do now?
