Simon, I just received two C8+ with 219C 4000K from you. Please fix the driver on them. Toykeeper will explain what’s wrong.

Maukka measured the PWM speed on each mode:

• 2.25 kHz moon
• 17.9 kHz low
• 36 kHz all other modes

The 36 kHz speed means the driver was flashed with the wrong fuse values.

The 2.25 kHz moon means the driver has a very old version of the firmware on it, from 2016, calibrated for nanjg 105d drivers which were never actually used. This was fixed two years ago, along with some other issues.

If at all possible, I would strongly recommend updating to a newer type of driver, perhaps one with two power channels and an attiny25v or attiny85v chip. This would improve performance and allow for a nicer UI. If not though, it would be a good idea to at least update the firmware on the existing drivers.

My Vapcell’s 21700 4500mAh (Lishen LR2170SF) doesn’t fit, there’s no way to insert them in the light

my other 4800mAh cell fits, though

I see a problem and it’s that the tube walls are so thin that it’s impossible to get more room for the cells

Is it a protected battery? I saw people remove the outer film on the battery for such an issues. I’m not sure it’s safe, though.

But I don’t know if the cell has a double wrap, I’ll buy some 21700 wrap and try to remove the vapcell’s one

Surprise Surprise, Lishen makes a battery that doesn’t fit. Chinese battery manufacturer making batteries that are too fat and too long I can only assume to boost their numbers.

C8+ and S2+ with updated firmware, 8*7135. Sometimes they turn the brightness to a lower level. It doesn’t look like bright enough to begin with.
What can be the reason?

I suspect the battery, as it happens with the 3400mAh Intl-Outdoor batteries (2600mAh from them or salvaged battery does not do this), but I am interested in your idea as you know how the firmware works.

Does it mean no 18650 flashlight with 4 LED in one board ?
Doesn’t the S21A already be a 21700 flashlight that can fit 3LED in one board (Carclo 20mm triple + Noctigon 20mm triple MCPCB) ? If so, why another one instead of something different to fulfill different needs ?

There is nothing new host-wise since long for 18650/18350 users. I insist, a 18650 quad would be welcomed.
