Convoy L21B (XHP70.3 HI, 4000 Lumens) Flashlight Review: Best All-Rounder Budget Thrower?

Alright, you’ve convinced me to get one.

Great review and great light.

I still say a nose-heavy light, especially a LONG nose-heavy light, shouldn’t be operated by a tailswitch.

You go to switch modes or just turn it on/off, and feel like you’re going pole-vaulting or something…

That, or you gotta two-hand it.

This is true in most of the cases.
But there are also different approaches. I use L21B as a pocket thrower. I walk with headlamp and light up thrower only to check something in a distance. So I get it out from my pocket, light up above my head to reach as far as possible and again it goes to the pocket. The time of single use is like 20 seconds to one minute.
And L21B suits this need better than Wurkkos T30S PRO (both SBT90.2) due to the tailbutton. I gave up T30s and stayed with L21B just because of this button. Easier to use when holding above the head.

Pole vaulting :joy:

Yep. This is how I used to use it. Another great L21B advantage is its weight. It can replace your C8 and boost the range significantly if your pocket is big enough.

Maybe if you’re wearing Hammer pants… :scream_cat:

I mean the pocket in my winter jacket. It fits there entirely.

Meh It was funnier the other way.

“Is that a L21B in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”

That is my kind of hot spot to spill ratio. Its perfect. Great review as always.
