I’ve just ordered a Convoy L6 and will probably be doing a resistor mod (120R). I would prefer to use protected batteries but of coarse current may be an issue.
Would these batteries suffice? ,they state 8A constant current draw: Pluzpower 26650
or would you recommend something else?
s I have some Pluzpower 18650 batteries, they’re a UK brand, they seem very good quality.

Never mind, I went for the Pluzpower batteries anyway, I think they should be ok :+1:
That branding is not known and I don’t believe HKJ has tested them. So, unfortunately, I don’t think anyone here can definitely answer how the quality is.
I’m not familiar with vendor options in the UK but here in the US, for protected 26650s that will fit the L6, I know that the KeepPower brand will work and also the EVVA protected ones. EVVA is protection circuit limited to about 8A.
Thanks for the reply SoCalTiger. So assuming that the Pluzpower batteries are also 8A, they should be fine with the mod.
I’m quite surprised that Pluzpower is an unknown brand, I’ll ask about them in another thread to see if anyone else has tried them.
