Hi colleagues, i have a Convoy M3 regular without usb-c. Since first day I had I noticed that the flashlight it shutdowns quickly…I mean, looks like a kind of undervoltage protection, because I switch to higher levels and instantly goes to the lower level. I tried with my other bats and all makes the same. This it happens when the battery is not fully charged, and when it does this behaviour put the battery in my others flashlight and it works fine.
I read the voltage of the battery and it’s around 4 volts.
So i don’t know if there is some workaround for this. I saw that there is a topic to remove the NTC from the PCB, but i don’t know if it can help me.
I tested 3 batts, Liitokala 5000mAh, Vapcell 5300mAh (gold wrapping) and AWT 26650 (labeled as 45A continuous discharge). All of them has 3.80 volts or more, and the issue was the same, M3 has 4 levels on, the higher level it shudowns. My others lights (Sofirn SP33 v3 and Mateminco MT07) can reach turbo mode without any issue. just for add more info.
@pennzy this batteries are “high drain battery” at least labeled like that.
@Quadrupel what do you mean RPP? It’s a MOSFET right? when I have enought time, i will check this
The battery sent with my M3-C from Convoy would not run turbo even when new. I think it was Liitokala 5000mAh. My 26800 will run turbo down to about 3.5 volts. As suggested, clean all contacts also.
